Het contract omvat de levering van tot drie miljoen spoorstaven en heeft een orderwaarde van ongeveer 50 miljoen euro voor de eerste twee jaar, aldus Vossloh.<\/p>\n<h3>Vermindering van de CO2-uitstoot<\/h3>\n<p>Een centraal doel van dit project is de vermindering van de CO2-uitstoot tijdens de productie van de spoorstaven. Vossloh maakt gebruik van cement van Heidelberg Materials, dat met een nieuwe technologie voor koolstofafvang wordt geproduceerd. Deze methode stelt Vossloh in staat om de uitstoot in de productie met meer dan 40 procent te verlagen in vergelijking met traditionele methoden.
