De ongeveer 170 kilometer lange lijn tussen Maroona en de haven van Portland speelt een centrale rol voor de export van graan en andere goederen uit de staat Victoria (Australi\u00eb), aldus het bedrijf. De geplande vernieuwing van de infrastructuur is gericht op het verhogen van de betrouwbaarheid, veiligheid en effici\u00ebntie van de spoorlijn.<\/p>\n<p>Momenteel is de lijn onderhevig aan beperkingen wat betreft de toegestane aslast en de maximumsnelheid. Zo mogen treinen slechts een aslast van 19 ton vervoeren, terwijl de gebruikelijke grens op 23 ton ligt. Bovendien is de maximumsnelheid beperkt tot 40 kilometer per uur, in plaats van de mogelijke 80 kilometer per uur.<\/p>\n<p>De Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) heeft besloten om de versleten houten dwarsliggers te vervangen door betonnen dwarsliggers om de levensduur van de lijn te verlengen. Vossloh zal in het kader van dit project 250.000 betonnen dwarsliggers produceren en leveren. De productie van de dwarsliggers zal in februari beginnen en uiterlijk in augustus 2027 zijn voltooid.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vossloh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
