Deze ontwikkeling leidde tot een tijdelijke opleving van de vraag, terwijl de vrachtprijzen een lichte daling van 1% vertoonden naar 2,56 USD per kg. Desondanks temperen de eerste dalingen van de e-commerce-exporten uit China sinds januari 2022 het aanvankelijke marktonderzoek, zoals analisten van Xeneta rapporteren.<\/p>\n<h3>Marktdynamiek en capaciteitsgebruik<\/h3>\n<p>In januari 2026 steeg het wereldwijde laadgewicht in de luchtvrachtsector sterker dan de capaciteit, die met 5% toenam. Dit leidde tot een stijging van de wereldwijde dynamische laadfactor met \u00e9\u00e9n procentpunt naar 57%. Niall van de Wouw, Chief Airfreight Officer van Xeneta, benadrukt echter dat de positieve ontwikkeling op de luchtvrachtmarkt met enige voorzichtigheid moet worden bekeken. De effecten van het Chinese Nieuwjaar op de exporten uit Azi\u00eb bemoeilijken het trekken van duidelijke conclusies over de marktentwikkeling.<\/p>\n<p>De festiviteiten begonnen in 2025 op 28 januari, terwijl ze dit jaar op 15 februari beginnen. Daarom zou een groot deel van de sterkte in het luchtvrachtvolume kalenderafhankelijk kunnen zijn.<\/p>\n<h3>Daling van de e-commerce-exporten uit China<\/h3>\n<p>Een cruciale factor die de luchtvrachtvolumes zal be\u00efnvloeden, is de daling van de e-commerce-exporten uit China en Hongkong. De nieuwste gegevens van de Chinese douane tonen een daling van de e-commerce-exporten met 9% in december 2025 in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar, wat de eerste daling sinds januari 2022 vertegenwoordigt. Deze ontwikkeling is bijzonder relevant, aangezien de luchtvrachtmarkt sterk afhankelijk is van grensoverschrijdende e-commerce, die ongeveer 20-25% van het jaarlijkse totale volume uitmaakt.<\/p>\n<p>De e-commerce-exporten van China naar de VS vertoonden een daling van meer dan 50% in december, wat te wijten is aan de invoering van een Amerikaanse de minimis verbod. In het gehele jaar 2025 daalden de e-commerce-exporten met 28% in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar. Terwijl de grote Chinese e-commerceplatforms proberen hun marktaandeel in Europa uit te breiden om de hogere kosten voor exporten naar de VS te compenseren, tonen de huidige cijfers aan dat ook deze strategie onder druk staat.<\/p>\n<h3>Invloed van regelgeving en marktomstandigheden<\/h3>\n<p>Regelgevende maatregelen kunnen de e-commerce-exporten verder onder druk zetten. Deze ontwikkelingen vormen een uitdaging voor de luchtvracht, die afhankelijk is van een betrouwbare vraag.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien blijft de situatie in het containervervoer in de Rode Zee en het Suezkanaal een onvoorspelbare factor voor de groei van de luchtvracht. Vervoerders zoals CMA CGM en Maersk zijn begonnen met het testen van Suezkanaalroutes op geselecteerde reizen, wat wijst op een mogelijke normalisering.
