Trump Laura DiBella tot voorzitter van de Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). DiBella werd op 6 januari 2026 be\u00ebdigd als commissaris, nadat ze op 3 september 2025 door Trump was genomineerd en op 18 december 2025 door de Amerikaanse Senaat was bevestigd. Haar termijn eindigt op 30 juni 2028.<\/p>\n<p>In een eerste verklaring zei DiBella: \u201eHet was een grote eer om slechts als commissaris van de Federal Maritime Commission genomineerd te worden, en nu als voorzitter benoemd te worden, is een privilege.\u201d Ze benadrukte haar dankbaarheid voor het vertrouwen dat president Trump in haar stelt, en erkende de verantwoordelijkheid die met deze rol gepaard gaat. DiBella verklaarde dat ze ernaar uitkijkt om het toegewijde team van de FMC te leiden en diens belangrijke functie te ondersteunen in het kader van Trumps doel om de maritieme dominantie van de VS te herstellen.<\/p>\n<p>Als voorzitter van de FMC neemt DiBella de rol van uitvoerend directeur en hoofdadministrateur van de commissie op zich.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmc.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.fmc.gov<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Op 28 januari 2026 werd Laura DiBella door president Donald J.
