Volgens een actuele initiatief van verenigingen ontbreken er in Duitsland al meer dan 70.000 beroepschauffeurs. Dit aantal is aanzienlijk gestegen sinds de publicatie van een &#8222;Vijfpuntenplan tegen logistieke knelpunten en tekort aan chauffeurs&#8220; eind 2018, toen nog werd uitgegaan van ongeveer 40.000 ontbrekende chauffeurs. De demografische ontwikkeling draagt bij aan de verscherping van het probleem: een derde van de beroepschauffeurs is ouder dan 55 jaar, en jaarlijks gaan ongeveer 30.000 tot 35.000 chauffeurs met pensioen, terwijl slechts 15.000 tot 20.000 nieuwe chauffeurs de sector instromen.<\/p>\n<p>Meer dan 70 procent van de Duitse goederenvervoerscapaciteit wordt volgens de betrokken verenigingen door vrachtwagens geleverd. Knelpunten in dit gebied kunnen daarom verstrekkende gevolgen hebben voor de gehele economie. Een verschuiving van het transport naar het spoor is in veel gevallen niet mogelijk, omdat de lokale omstandigheden, zoals korte transportafstanden en onvoldoende spoorinfrastructuur, vaak tegen een spoortransport pleiten.<\/p>\n<h3>Actie nodig om de arbeidsmarkt voor chauffeurs te waarborgen<\/h3>\n<p>Om het tekort aan chauffeurs aan te pakken, vraagt het initiatief van de verenigingen om een politiek geco\u00f6rdineerde aanpak. Een centraal voorstel is de oprichting van een interministeri\u00eble werkgroep die, met inbegrip van de relevante ministeries, een strategie voor de arbeidsmarkt van chauffeurs moet ontwikkelen.<\/p>\n<p>Drie belangrijke actiegebieden worden door de verenigingen benadrukt:<\/p>\n<p>1. De aantrekkelijkheid van het beroep van chauffeur verhogen: De arbeidsomstandigheden voor beroepschauffeurs moeten worden verbeterd. Gebrek aan infrastructuur, zoals ontbrekende parkeerplaatsen voor vrachtwagens en onvoldoende verblijfscomfort op parkeerplaatsen, bemoeilijkt het beroepsleven. Bovendien leidt een ineffici\u00ebnt bouwplaatsbeheer op hoofdwegen tot files en onbetrouwbare werktijden.<\/p>\n<p>2. Modernisering van de opleidings- en kwalificatie-eisen: De huidige chauffeursopleiding wordt als niet meer van deze tijd beschouwd. Een hervorming is noodzakelijk om de opleiding praktischer en doelgerichter te maken. Daarbij moeten ook digitale mogelijkheden beter worden benut.<\/p>\n<p>3. Vermindering van bureaucratie en vergemakkelijking van immigratie: De hoge mate van regulering in het weggoederenvervoer wordt als belemmerend ervaren. Er moeten pragmatischere regels worden gevonden, vooral met betrekking tot de erkenning van buitenlandse beroepskwalificaties. Bovendien moet de immigratie van arbeidskrachten uit derde landen naar de chauffeursmarkt worden vergemakkelijkt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgl-ev.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
