Volgens dit rapport zijn de spotprijzen in de laatste weken van het afgelopen jaar en aan het begin van dit jaar met dubbele cijfers gestegen in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar. Deze prijsstijgingen zijn voornamelijk te wijten aan extreme weersomstandigheden die de capaciteit in het vrachttransport be\u00efnvloeden, aldus ACT Research.<\/p>\n<h3>Marktanalyse en toekomstige ontwikkelingen<\/h3>\n<p>Tim Denoyer, vice-president en hoofdanalist bij ACT Research, legt uit dat de stijging van de spotprijzen ook samenhangt met een toename van de bestellingen voor vrachtwagens van klasse 8 in december. Dit gebeurt in een omgeving waarin de omstandigheden in het vrachttransport verbeteren en er enige duidelijkheid ontstaat over de lage NOx-voorschriften van de EPA voor 2027. Denoyer verwacht dat er in 2026 een lichte afname van de capaciteit zal zijn, die zich naar verwachting ook in 2027 zal voortzetten.<\/p>\n<p>Denoyer wijst erop dat er potentieel is voor een bredere economische expansie, vooral als de aanstaande beslissing van het Hooggerechtshof over douanerechten leidt tot een verlaging van de tarieven. Een dergelijke ontwikkeling kan leiden tot een extra brede desinflatie, wat de Federal Reserve meer ruimte zou geven om de rente verder te verlagen.
