Deze faciliteit, gelegen op een oppervlakte van 3.000 ha aan de oostkust van India, is bedoeld voor de redding, rehabilitatie en bescherming van wilde dieren.<\/p>\n<p>Brendan Toomey, CEO van ACS Singapore (Foto), legt uit dat de opdracht afkomstig was van een klant die een verscheidenheid aan dieren van Bangkok naar Ahmedabad wilde vervoeren. In het nieuwe beschermingsgebied leven al duizenden soortgelijke dieren, waarvan velen zijn gered uit circussen, dierentuinen of de illegale handel.<\/p>\n<p>Voor het transport waren verschillende diersoorten voorzien, waaronder zebra&#8217;s, luiaards, wallaby&#8217;s, valken, pacas en wasberen. Vanwege het totale gewicht van 50 t, dat de dieren, hun hokken, voer en de begeleidende dierenartsen omvatte, was het inzetten van een B747 de geschikte keuze. Toomey benadrukt dat het team nauw samenwerkte met de Thaise burgerluchtvaartautoriteit en de klant om alle benodigde exportdocumenten tijdig te verkrijgen, aangezien de opdracht binnen minder dan twee weken moest worden uitgevoerd.<\/p>\n<p>Een medewerker van het kantoor in Singapore co\u00f6rdineerde de processen op de luchthaven, inclusief een speciaal gebied en de benodigde apparatuur om de dieren veilig en snel te laden.
