Voor &#8217;s werelds grootste binnenvaartbedrijf is dit de derde gastanker die een extreme diepgangoptimalisatie combineert met een diesel-elektrische &#8220;Future-Fuel-Ready&#8221; aandrijving.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Duisburg\/Rotterdam) Als pionier in de sector blijft HGK Shipping inzetten op innovatieve scheepsontwerpen. De &#8220;GAS 96&#8221; is vanaf nu actief op de Rijnroute tussen Rotterdam, Antwerpen en Keulen en transporteert voor het chemiebedrijf LyondellBasell (LYB) onder druk vloeibare gassen. Dit is gebaseerd op een langlopende charterovereenkomst.<\/p>\n<p>Voor het transport heeft de &#8220;GAS 96&#8221; vier tanks met een laadvolume van in totaal 3.256 kubieke meter tot zijn beschikking. Het schip is ontwikkeld in het innovatief werkende Design Center van HGK Shipping en heeft een lengte van 110 meter en een breedte van 15 meter. Met zijn uitzonderlijke parameters stelt de &#8220;GAS 96&#8221; nieuwe normen voor het systeem van waterwegen.<\/p>\n<p>Dankzij de ultramoderne roerpropellers kan de grote tanker ook bij extreme peilomstandigheden veilig manoeuvreren. Zelfs bij een diepgang van slechts 1,20 meter vervoert hij meer dan 300 ton om de leveringszekerheid ook bij uitdagende weersomstandigheden te waarborgen. Bij optimale wateromstandigheden ligt de maximale tonnage per reis boven de 2.500 ton. Nadat eerst het casco bij Severnav in Roemeni\u00eb werd vervaardigd, vond recentelijk de zogenaamde afbouw plaats bij De Gerlien van Tiem in Nederland.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Innovatieve en co\u00f6peratieve benadering<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;In de nauwe samenwerking met HGK Shipping wordt ons steeds weer duidelijk hoe onze langdurige partner onze behoeften in een voortdurend veranderende omgeving met overtuigende oplossingen vervult. De &#8216;GAS 96&#8217; staat exemplarisch voor deze innovatieve en co\u00f6peratieve benadering,&#8221; zei Yarelis Hernandez, LYB Vice President of Global Intermediates &amp; Derivatives Manufacturing, aan de rand van de doop in Rotterdam. &#8220;Hulpbronnenbesparing via duurzame logistiek en een hoge mate van leveringszekerheid zijn centrale doelen in ons supply chain management voor onze productie en die van onze joint venture partner Covestro.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Binnenvaart toekomstbestendig maken<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Anke Bestmann, managing director van HGK Gas Shipping GmbH, benadrukte: &#8220;De &#8216;GAS 96&#8217; is niet alleen een tanker voor het heden, maar ook voor de toekomst. Toekomstige transportgoederen zoals ammoniak en zich in ontwikkeling bevindende brandstofsystemen zoals methanol zijn al in dit scheepsontwerp meegenomen. Bovendien vermindert het power management systeem van het nieuwe schip het brandstofverbruik en de uitstoot van uitlaatgassen, omdat het de geleverde energie altijd aanpast aan de energiebehoefte. Het gastankschip is ontwikkeld volgens de specifieke eisen van LyondellBasell en Covestro.
