Sinds 2014 werken de Naturschutzbund Deutschland e. V. (NABU) en de rederij Scandlines samen \u2013 voor een veerbootvaart die het klimaat en het milieu beschermt.<\/h5>\n<p>(Hamburg\/Berlin) Het gezamenlijke doel is schepen zonder luchtvervuiling en uitstoot van broeikasgassen. Nieuwe scheepsaandrijvingen verminderen al vandaag de emissies en helpen tegelijkertijd de onderwatergeluiden merkbaar te verminderen \u2013 ter bescherming van de bruinvissen en andere zeedieren van de Oostzee.<\/p>\n<p>De NABU begeleidt Scandlines echter ook verder op de weg naar meer duurzaamheid \u2013 bijvoorbeeld bij de vergroening van havenfaciliteiten en een milieuvriendelijke energievoorziening.<\/p>\n<h5>Oostzee moet een leefbare ruimte voor mens en dier blijven<\/h5>\n<p>Met de virtual-reality-tentoonstelling &#8220;Baltic Sea Life&#8221; bieden NABU en Scandlines de gasten aan boord buitengewone inzichten in de fascinerende, beschermenswaardige onderwaterwereld van de Oostzee. Want beide partners delen een visie: de Oostzee moet een leefbare ruimte voor mens en dier blijven.<\/p>\n<p>Daarom zegt Dr. Kim Detloff, NABU-hoofd mariene bescherming: &#8220;Voor de NABU en Scandlines is de Oostzee een unieke en beschermenswaardige leefomgeving \u2013 veel meer dan een scheepvaartlijn en badplezier. Aangezien de mens alleen kan beschermen wat hij kent, willen we met de nu geopende belevingswereld bezoekers de Oostzee als ecosysteem dichterbij brengen. We zijn blij met deze gezamenlijke leeromgeving in het kader van onze langdurige samenwerking en wensen veel plezier met bruinvissen, zeehonden en zeegrasvelden aan boord van de Duitsland.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>De offici\u00eble opening met vertegenwoordigers van de NABU, het bureau Kubikfoto GmbH en Scandlines vond plaats op 11 augustus 2025.<\/p>\n<h5>In de toekomst ook op andere veerboten mogelijk<\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;Als onderdeel van onze duurzaamheidsstrategie, waarmee we ons duidelijk inzetten voor de bescherming van de Oostzeeregio, is het voor ons belangrijk ook een bijdrage te leveren aan het milieubewustzijn en de gelegenheid te benutten om zoveel mogelijk mensen over dit belangrijke onderwerp te bereiken,&#8221;
