Centraal stonden het recordjaar 2024 en de strategische stappen voor verdere positionering als krachtig knooppunt in Centraal-Europa. <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Frankfurt\/Wenen) Met een vrachtvolume van bijna 298.000 ton kon de luchthaven Wenen in 2024 een groei van 22 procent ten opzichte van het voorgaande jaar registreren \u2013 een duidelijk signaal voor de groeiende rol van Wenen op de Europese luchtvrachtmarkt. &#8220;We groeien doelgericht en met een plan \u2013 gesteund door nauwe partnerschappen en duidelijke investeringsbeslissingen,&#8221; aldus Zach.<\/p>\n<p>De drijvende krachten achter deze ontwikkeling zijn onder andere de sterke verbinding met Azi\u00eb, extra vrachtverbindingen en een toenemende e-commerce-omzet. Laatstgenoemde blijkt een bijzonder dynamische factor te zijn, waarvan de eisen in Wenen effici\u00ebnt kunnen worden vervuld. Wenen is daarbij optimaal verbonden: 23 landen zijn vanuit de luchthaven binnen 1,5 dagen per vrachtwagen bereikbaar \u2013 een beslissend voordeel voor betrouwbare en snelle verbindingen in heel Centraal-Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Ook op operationeel gebied overtuigt de luchthaven Wenen met effici\u00ebntie en stabiele processen: VIE Cargo Services biedt korte cut-off-tijden bij export, snelle doorlooptijden bij import en gedigitaliseerde processen. Alle relevante afdelingen \u2013 van veiligheidscontrole tot douane en gezondheidsautoriteiten \u2013 werken in een 24\/7-operatie. Wachttijden of systeemstagnaties, zoals die soms voorkomen op andere Europese hubs, zijn in Wenen de uitzondering.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Pharma Handling Center groeit met dubbele cijfers<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Daarnaast valt de locatie op door het Vienna Pharma Handling Center, dat in 2024 dubbele cijfers groei registreerde. Met een continue koelketen, korte afstanden en hoge proceskwaliteit voldoet Wenen in bijzondere mate aan de toenemende eisen van de farmaceutische sector.<\/p>\n<p>Ook voor de toekomst zijn de voorwaarden geschapen: duurzaamheid, infrastructuurontwikkeling en digitalisering staan centraal in de plannen. Investeringen in moderne afhandelings- en logistieke processen, e-mobiliteit en geautomatiseerde systemen versterken de prestaties van de locatie. &#8220;We werken aan alle belangrijke onderwerpen \u2013 en beschouwen het als onze taak om diensten doelgericht verder te ontwikkelen,&#8221; verklaarde Zach.<\/p>\n<p>acd-voorzitter prof. dr. Christopher W. Stoller verwelkomde de positieve ontwikkeling van Wenen uitdrukkelijk: &#8220;De luchthaven Wenen toont indrukwekkend aan hoe een luchtvrachtlocatie zich kan ontwikkelen door slimme investeringen en een duidelijke strategie. Tegelijkertijd wordt duidelijk: Een op Europees niveau afgestemde luchtvrachtpolitiek is essentieel om de concurrentie eerlijk en effici\u00ebnt te maken.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Nationale eenzijdige acties zijn contraproductief<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Stoller benadrukte bovendien dat nationale eenzijdige acties \u2013 bijvoorbeeld op het gebied van douaneregelingen \u2013 contraproductief zijn: &#8220;We hebben gezamenlijke inspanningen nodig bij de interpretatie en naleving van douaneregels. Alleen zo kunnen we concurrentieverstoringen en uitschieters binnen Europa vermijden.
