Vanaf 11 februari worden er op de nieuwe route drie wekelijkse rondritten aangeboden. De vertrekkingen vanuit Kornwestheim vinden plaats op maandag, woensdag en vrijdag, terwijl de treinen vanuit Domodossola op dinsdag, donderdag en zaterdag rijden.<\/h5>\n<p>(Leipzig\/Kornwestheim\/Domodossola) Met deze nieuwe lijn versterkt CargoBeamer de verschuiving van wegtransport naar het milieuvriendelijke spoor en breidt het zijn leidende rol in het transalpiene gecombineerd vervoer verder uit. De verbinding naar Stuttgart is de tweede lijn van het bedrijf tussen Duitsland en Itali\u00eb: op de gevestigde route Kaldenkirchen \u2013 Domodossola vervoeren CargoBeamer-treinen al elke maand vele duizenden opleggers over de Alpen. Op alle CargoBeamer-lijnen vindt het transport plaats zonder het meenemen van de trekker en het rijpersoneel, waardoor transportbedrijven hun middelen effici\u00ebnter kunnen inzetten en aanzienlijk CO2-uitstoot kunnen besparen.<\/p>\n<p>Op de nieuwe lijn worden de transportcapaciteiten aangeboden via een open concept dat geschikt is voor alle soorten opleggers \u2013 of ze nu hijsbaar zijn of niet, containers, wisselcontainers of speciale opleggers zoals koel- en tankopleggers. Zonder extra investeringen in de voertuigvloot kunnen logistieke bedrijven profiteren van het spoor en daarbij per vervoerde eenheid ongeveer 80% van de CO2-uitstoot in vergelijking met de diesel-vrachtwagen besparen. De tractie wordt verzorgd door SBB Cargo International. Aan Duitse zijde wordt het DUSS-terminal Kornwestheim gebruikt, terwijl de treinen in Itali\u00eb worden overgeladen in het CargoBeamer-terminal in Domodossola.<\/p>\n<h5>Verder bouwsteen voor de ontwikkeling van het terminal in Domodossola<\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;Met de nieuwe verbinding tussen Stuttgart en Domodossola versterken we onze positie als centrale speler in het transalpiene gecombineerd vervoer,&#8221; legt Boris Timm, COO van CargoBeamer, uit. &#8220;De regio Stuttgart behoort tot de economisch sterkste gebieden van Europa. Door deze aan ons netwerk te koppelen, bieden we onze klanten een extra mogelijkheid om hun transporten tussen Duitsland en Itali\u00eb duurzaam en effici\u00ebnt af te handelen.
