De emissievrije koeloplegger wordt uitsluitend ingezet in het kader van het contract van het in Buckinghamshire gevestigde bedrijf met S.T.I. (U.K.) Ltd. en levert temperatuurgecontroleerde goederen aan McDonald&#8217;s distributiecentra in het hele Verenigd Koninkrijk.<\/h5>\n<p>(Horstmar\/Great Horwood) Andrew Marshall, directeur bij Marine &amp; Cargo: \u201eWe hebben de S.KOe COOL nu enkele weken op de weg en de eerste bevindingen zijn echt positief. De technologie is eenvoudig te gebruiken en zal ons bedrijf en onze klanten op de lange termijn enorme duurzaamheidsvoordelen bieden.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We verbruiken in onze operatie ongeveer 200 liter diesel per week, die onze standaard koelopleggers nodig hebben om de goederen op de exact benodigde temperatuur te houden. Met de volledig elektrische koeloplegger elimineren we deze hoeveelheid, dat is een aanzienlijke besparing die we nu al realiseren.\u201d Schmitz Cargobull heeft de S.KOe COOL begin dit jaar officieel op de Britse en Ierse markt ge\u00efntroduceerd. De S.KOe COOL is typegoedgekeurd en helpt transportbedrijven bij het voldoen aan de steeds strengere emissievoorschriften.<\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe koeloplegger van Marine &amp; Cargo is uitgerust met de volledig elektrische transportkoelmachine S.CU ep85 met ge\u00efntegreerde vermogenselektronica, een batterij-systeem en een elektrische generatoras, die een 100 procent emissievrije werking mogelijk maakt. Het bedrijf heeft de S.KOe COOL gecombineerd met een Mercedes-Benz Actros Gigaspace trekker, aangedreven door een brandstofbesparende 530 pk sterke Euro VI-motor die op gehydrateerde plantaardige olie (HVO) werkt, om de emissies verder te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eOnze voertuigen worden in het langeafstandvervoer ingezet voor meerdaagse ritten, waarbij ze maandagochtend het depot verlaten en vrijdags terugkomen. Vanwege de ontbrekende laadinfrastructuur is er momenteel gewoon geen geschikte elektrische optie voor de trekker\u201c, legt Andrew uit. \u201cWe moeten dus onze emissies op een andere manier verminderen. \u201eDoor gebruik te maken van deze elektrische oplegger, die zijn eigen energie tijdens het rijden via de elektrische as genereert, komen we zo dicht mogelijk bij duurzaam transport in onze operatie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>De ge\u00eblektrificeerde opleggeras van de S.KOe COOL wint onder andere energie terug bij het remmen, verlengt de bedrijfstijd van de koelunit of verkort de laadtijd van de batterij via het elektriciteitsnet. Hierdoor worden ook de wachttijden in de distributiecentra verkort.<\/p>\n<h5>Selectie op basis van gebruiksvoorwaarden van de klant<\/h5>\n<p>Dankzij drie vooraf gedefinieerde modi (ECO, STANDARD en SAFE) kan de oplegger worden geoptimaliseerd op basis van de gebruiksvoorwaarden en -doelen van de klant. De ECO-modus zorgt voor maximale energie- en kosteneffici\u00ebntie bij koeltransport. De STANDARD-modus biedt kosteneffici\u00ebnte bescherming tegen bederf van de lading, terwijl de SAFE-modus maximale bescherming tegen bederf van goederen biedt.
