De Zwitserse vervoersvereniging ASTAG neemt de gepubliceerde cijfers van de federale overheid over de fileontwikkeling met grote bezorgdheid ter kennis. De belasting op het nationale wegennet blijft ongebreideld stijgen en heeft in 2023 met ongeveer 49.000 file-uren opnieuw een recordhoogte bereikt. De uitbreidingsstap voor de nationale wegen, die in de herfst ter stemming komt, moet worden gerealiseerd. De gevolgen zouden anders fataal zijn \u2013 voor logistiek en mobiliteit, maar uiteindelijk ook voor de economie en de bevolking.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Bern) De laatste filecijfers voor het jaar 2023<\/a>, die het Federaal Bureau voor Wegen ASTRA vandaag heeft gepubliceerd, zijn een schok. Al in de afgelopen jaren stegen de waarden continu en zeer sterk; keer op keer werden negatieve records gemeld. Maar de huidige ontwikkeling overschrijdt elke maatstaf. In 2022 werden in totaal 48.807 file-uren geregistreerd, wat een toename van 22,4 procent betekent, duidelijk boven het langjarige gemiddelde van 10 procent.<\/p>\n

De Zwitserse vervoersvereniging ASTAG had een verdere verslechtering van de situatie verwacht \u2013 en is desondanks uiterst bezorgd. Een stijging in deze omvang is simpelweg dramatisch en heeft enorme gevolgen. Op het spel staan de veilige garantie, de betrouwbaarheid en de flexibiliteit van de aanvoer en afvoer. Hoe meer en hoe langer het wegvervoer in de file staat, hoe minder de economie, het bedrijfsleven en de bevolking zich kunnen verlaten op (tijdige) leveringen en afhalingen. De gevolgen zijn onderbrekingen en dure wachttijden in bedrijfsprocessen en onnodige extra kosten. “De acute fileproblematiek is een steeds sterker voelbare verstoringsfactor in de economische activiteiten van ons land,” benadrukt ASTAG-voorzitter Thierry Burkart: “Productie, consumptie en uiteindelijk ons welzijn lijden!”<\/p>\n

Beter infrastructuur = minder files<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Ook in het wegvervoer zelf resulteren enorme extra kosten. File betekent dat voor hetzelfde aantal ladingen meer tijd nodig is en daarom meer voertuigen en chauffeurs vereist zijn \u2013 wat leidt tot aanzienlijke productiviteitsverliezen. In het stilstaande verkeer verbruiken voertuigen bovendien aanzienlijk meer brandstof, waardoor de CO2-uitstoot ten koste van het milieu en het klimaat evenredig toeneemt.<\/p>\n

Tegen deze achtergrond is een modernisering van de nationale wegen, zoals besloten door de federale raad en het parlement met de uitbreidingsstap 2023, des te zinvoller. De referendumsstemming in de herfst zal absoluut bepalend zijn voor de functionaliteit en prestaties van verkeer en logistiek. De ASTAG staat daarom volledig achter het voorstel. Het ASTRA is weliswaar intensief bezig om de pieken in de files te doorbreken met maatregelen zoals de herbestemming van pechstroken of tijdelijke snelheidsbeperkingen. “Maar verkeersmanagement alleen is niet genoeg,” zegt Thierry Burkart: “Zwitserland heeft een effici\u00ebnt nationaal wegennet nodig!”<\/p>\n
