De hoeveelheden daalden van 22,4 miljoen naar 21,3 miljoen ton.<\/h5>\n<p>(L\u00fcbeck) In de RoRo-sector daalde het aantal laadunits met ongeveer vijf procent tot 890.000, als gevolg van verminderde productie bij een grote toeleverancier. Vergelijkbare redenen zorgden in de verpakkings- en papiersector voor een daling van de hoeveelheden bosproducten met 13,8 procent tot ongeveer 874.000 ton. Positief was daarentegen het aantal nieuwe voertuigen (+2,4) en de begeleide vrachtverkeer (+1,3 procent). Ook het aantal passagiers was bemoedigend; dit steeg met 2,5 procent tot 500.000.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks de moeilijke marktomstandigheden hebben de rederijen hun lijndiensten volledig in stand gehouden. &#8220;Dat waarderen we zeer&#8221;, commentarieert LHG-directeur Sebastian J\u00fcrgens. &#8220;We willen onze rederijen ook in de toekomst ondersteunen bij het bewerken van de markt. Naast de verdere uitbreiding van onze aanlegplaatsen, waarvan ons grootste project nummer 5 al is voltooid, zetten we vooral impulsen bij het ontsluiten van markten: Op 11 juli houden we in Riga de tweede Duits-Letlandse Havendag. Daar zullen we met een sterke L\u00fcbecker delegatie optreden.&#8221; Op 27 november volgt zoals gebruikelijk de Duits-Finse Havendag in L\u00fcbeck.<\/p>\n<h5>Persoonlijk bezoek van de Letse president Egils Levits<\/h5>\n<p>De L\u00fcbecker Havendagen winnen steeds meer aan aanzien. Voor de premi\u00e8re van de Duits-Letlandse Havendag in april vorig jaar reisde de Letse president Egils Levits persoonlijk naar de Hansestad. Tijdens zijn optreden prees hij zowel de nauwe band tussen de twee economie\u00ebn als de intensieve, langdurige samenwerking tussen L\u00fcbeck en de Letse havens. Alle sprekers benadrukten de nauwe verbinding tussen de Duitse en Letse economie en in het bijzonder de langdurige samenwerking tussen L\u00fcbeck en de Letse havens. De Duits-Finse Havendag is een vaste waarde geworden in de jaarlijkse kalender van logistieke evenementen.
