Tot de late zomer van 2024 zal de capaciteit aanzienlijk worden vergroot. De federale overheid subsidieert het investeringsproject met 80 procent.<\/h5>\n<p>(L\u00fcbeck) &#8220;Met deze uitbreiding verhelpen we de capaciteitsproblemen die bij BRG tijdens piekuren steeds weer optraden,&#8221; legt LHG-directeur Sebastian J\u00fcrgens uit, &#8220;en we maken ons klaar voor de toekomst in het gecombineerde vervoer. Voor nieuwe verkeersstromen is de weg nu vrij.&#8221; De maximale overslagcapaciteit ligt momenteel op 140.000 laadunits per jaar. &#8220;Na de uitbreiding kunnen we hier met 240.000 eenheden de overslag aanzienlijk vergroten,&#8221; kondigt J\u00fcrgens aan.<\/p>\n<p>BRG exploiteert nu al een belangrijk intermodaal terminal voor duurzame verkeersstromen in de Oostzee-regio. Verbonden met de ongeveer 90 wekelijkse zeese RoRo-afvaarten aan de terminals van de LHG vormt het een belangrijke schakel tussen de industriecentra in Zuid- en West-Europa en de Noordse landen. &#8220;Met de capaciteitsuitbreiding kunnen we de concurrentiekracht van L\u00fcbeck als knooppunt voor vervoer per spoor, weg en waterweg aanzienlijk versterken. De vraag op de markt is aanwezig,&#8221; aldus Antje Falk, directeur van Baltic RailGate.<\/p>\n<h5>Subsidie van het Federale Ministerie van Verkeer<\/h5>\n<p>Ook het Federale Ministerie van Verkeer is van mening dat: het ondersteunt en bevordert de verschuiving van goederenvervoer van de weg naar de milieuvriendelijke vervoerswijzen spoor en waterweg. Daartoe heeft het ministerie een overeenkomstige richtlijn uitgevaardigd. In het kader van deze richtlijn subsidieert het Eisenbahn-Bundesamt de uitbreiding van de faciliteit met bijna 80 procent uit publieke middelen. Momenteel beschikt de faciliteit over zes sporen van elk 600 meter lang en twee kranen. &#8220;Met de uitbreiding verlengen we alle sporen tot 720 meter bruikbare spoorlengte,&#8221; kondigt Christoph Adam, afdelingshoofd van installaties en apparatuur bij de LHG, aan. &#8220;Zo passen we het terminal aan de gangbare treinlengtes in Europa aan en kunnen we tijdrovende rangeerwerkzaamheden vermijden.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Op de bouwplannen staan ook een derde kraan en een nieuw bedrijfsgebouw. De kraanbanen en de kabeltrommels voor de stroomvoorziening van de twee bestaande kranen worden ook verlengd, zodat ze in de toekomst de volledige spoorlengtes kunnen bedienen. Voor het verplaatsen van de trailers op het overslagterrein zal de LHG drie nieuwe elektrische trekkerwagens, zogenaamde Tugmasters, aanschaffen. &#8220;Bovendien bereiden we nu al alles voor om toekomstbestendig over te schakelen van semi- naar volledig automatische werking van de kranen,&#8221; kondigt Adam aan.<\/p>\n<h5>Grootste deel van de werkzaamheden in de late zomer van 2024 afgerond<\/h5>\n<p>Nog in de late zomer van dit jaar moeten de eerste spoor- en grondwerken beginnen. Ze zullen de lopende operatie niet aanzienlijk beperken.
