Gebr\u00fcder Weiss heeft op 6 februari een nieuwe locatie geopend in de Albanese hoofdstad Tirana. Hiermee sluit het internationale transport- en logistiekbedrijf de geografische kloof tussen Montenegro en Noord-Macedoni\u00eb en breidt het zijn transportverbindingen in Zuidoost-Europa uit. In de Westelijke Balkan is Gebr\u00fcder Weiss nu vertegenwoordigd met eigen locaties in Albani\u00eb, Bosni\u00eb-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Noord-Macedoni\u00eb en Servi\u00eb.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Tirana \/ Lauterach) \u201eDe transporten van en naar Albani\u00eb zijn de afgelopen tien jaar sterk toegenomen. Het merendeel van de ge\u00efmporteerde goederen komt uit de Europese Unie. Met de locatie in Tirana, het belangrijkste verkeersknooppunt van het land, willen we klanten uit de industrie en de handel directe verbindingen naar Albani\u00eb en van daaruit richting de EU bieden\u201c, zegt Thomas Moser, directeur en regionaal manager Zwarte Zee\/CIS bij Gebr\u00fcder Weiss.<\/p>\n

De voorwaarden hiervoor zijn goed: De logistieke dienstverlener beschikt over een dicht landverkeersnetwerk in de aangrenzende buurlanden en in Midden- en Oost-Europa. \u201eIn de eerste fase zullen we de bestaande groepsgoederenlijn tussen Noord-Macedoni\u00eb (Skopje) en Albani\u00eb in beide richtingen uitbreiden. Nieuwe verbindingen naar Albani\u00eb’s belangrijkste handelspartner Itali\u00eb zijn ook gepland\u201c, zegt Dorina Islami, landmanager Albani\u00eb bij Gebr\u00fcder Weiss.<\/p>\n

De economische vooruitzichten in Albani\u00eb zijn na de coronapandemie weer positiever. Voor 2023 wordt een economische groei van ongeveer drie procent verwacht. In de handelsbalans overheersen de importen zoals voedingsmiddelen, machines, chemicali\u00ebn en textiel. Tot de exportproducten naar de Europese Unie, met welke sinds 2009 een vrijhandelsakkoord bestaat, behoren kleding en voedingsmiddelen, ijzer en staal, evenals andere grond- en bouwstoffen.<\/p>\n
