De ferry, die in 2024 op de route Puttgarden-R\u00f8dby zal worden ingezet, draagt de werktitel PR24 en luidt de volgende generatie schepen op deze route in.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Cemre) Op 30 augustus hebben Scandlines en de Turkse scheepswerf Cemre in verband met de kiellegging een mijlpaal bereikt. Net als andere moderne schepen wordt de PR24 niet op een enkele kiel gebouwd. Het zal eerder uit meerdere rompsecties bestaan. Afgelopen dinsdag werd de eerste sectie op de helling gelegd.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;De datum van de kiellegging is interessant, omdat het schip moet worden gebouwd volgens de op dat moment geldende voorschriften. Deze dag is ook verbonden met tradities. Daarom leggen we bij de kiellegging uiteraard ook een nieuw geslagen munt onder het schip&#8221;, aldus Scandlines&#8217; COO Michael Guldmann Petersen.<\/p>\n<p>Klimaat- en milieuvragen staan al lange tijd hoog op de agenda van Scandlines. Al in 2013 investeerde het bedrijf in hybride ferries met batterijen, en in 2024 zal de eerste emissievrije ferry op de Puttgarden-R\u00f8dby-route in gebruik worden genomen. Slechts zes jaar later, in 2030, zal de hele route emissievrij zijn.<\/p>\n<p>De batterijen van de ferry kunnen in slechts 17 minuten in R\u00f8dby worden opgeladen. In 2019 investeerde Scandlines in een 50 kV \/ 25 MW stroomkabel voor de haven in R\u00f8dby. In het voorjaar van 2023 zal het werk aan de verlenging van deze kabel tot de ferry-aanlegplaatsen beginnen. Daar zullen een transformator en een laadstation worden ge\u00efnstalleerd.<\/p>\n<p>Met een overtochtijd van 70 minuten is de ferry emissievrij. Hij kan ook als hybride ferry worden ingezet, zoals nu het geval is op de Scandlines-routes tussen Duitsland en Denemarken. Bij gebruik als hybride ferry bedraagt de overtochtijd 45 minuten. De ferry kan dus ook als vervangende ferry worden ingezet wanneer een van de vier dubbeldekkers, die momenteel de route Puttgarden-R\u00f8dby bedienen, een werfbezoek heeft.<\/p>\n<p>De werkzaamheden aan de verbouwing van de terminals in Puttgarden en R\u00f8dby zijn al aan de gang. Ligplaats 1 in R\u00f8dby wordt omgebouwd tot een ligplaats voor alle vijf dubbeldekkers. Het vrijstaande deel van de betonnen brug, dat van 1970 tot 1997 de toegang voor auto&#8217;s tot de bovenste dekken van de ferries mogelijk maakte, is verwijderd, en de brugklep is met behulp van een kraan afgebroken.<\/p>\n<p>Aangezien de PR24 zowel op het bovenste als op het onderste dek vrachtwagens kan vervoeren - zoals bekend is van de ferries Rostock-Gedser - worden ook ligplaats 1 in Puttgarden en ligplaats 3 in R\u00f8dby verbouwd.
