De productie start nog in 2022. De e-Truck is gebaseerd op de Cascadia, de best verkochte vrachtwagen voor zware langeafstandstransporten (Class 8, &gt; 15t GVW) op de Noord-Amerikaanse markt.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Stuttgart\/Portland) Met het seriemodel biedt Freightliner zijn klanten nu een lokaal emissievrije versie aan. De eerste leveringen zouden nog in 2022 moeten beginnen en brengen Daimler Truck en zijn Amerikaanse klanten een belangrijke stap dichter bij CO2-neutraal transport.<\/p>\n<p>Sinds 2018 zet Freightliner samen met klanten een vloot batterij-elektrische vrachtwagens in voor dagelijks transport, om de voertuigen onder realistische omstandigheden te testen. Hierbij wordt een breed scala aan toepassingen gedekt, waaronder lokale leveringen, voedselverdeling en pakketbezorging. De zogenaamde Customer Experience (CX) testvloot van Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) bestaat uit meer dan 40 batterij-elektrische Freightliner eCascadia en middelzware Freightliner eM2 en heeft het testproces revolutionair veranderd. Met bijna 50 klanten konden de volledig elektrische vrachtwagens in de transportpraktijk grondig worden getest. Onder hen zijn toonaangevende Amerikaanse vlootoperators zoals Penske Truck Leasing, NFI, Knight-Swift, Schneider, Ryder, J.B. Hunt en anderen.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Actieradius tot 370 km<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>In combinatie met uitgebreide ontwikkelingsinspanningen en een intensief intern testprogramma met meerdere prototypes resulteerde dit in een krachtige en effici\u00ebnte volledig elektrische vrachtwagen met verschillende batterij- en aandrijfasopties. Afhankelijk van de voertuigconfiguratie biedt de eCascadia een actieradius van ongeveer 230 mijl (370 km). De eCascadia is ideaal voor korte ritten die depot-gebaseerd opladen mogelijk maken, zoals last-mile-logistiek, lokale en regionale distributieverkeer of warehouse-to-warehouse-toepassingen.<\/p>\n<p>Daimler Truck hanteert in het kader van zijn wereldwijde platformstrategie met de ePowertrain ook voor volledig elektrische vrachtwagens een wereldwijd uniforme basisarchitectuur. Na de introductie van de Mercedes-Benz eActros vorig jaar en de Mercedes-Benz eEconic later dit jaar, is de Freightliner eCascadia het volgende product waarbij de ePowertrain in combinatie met het Amerikaanse merk Detroit wordt ingezet.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Kies uit drie batterijopties<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>De eCascadia wordt aangedreven door een e-as die is ge\u00efntegreerd met een elektromotor, transmissie en speciale elektronica in een compacte eenheid. De eCascadia is verkrijgbaar met een enkele motor (320 pk) of een dubbele motor (470 pk). Klanten kunnen ook kiezen uit drie batterijopties met verschillende formaten en gemiddelde laadtijden, te beginnen met 194 kWh (anderhalf tot drie uur), 291 kWh (twee tot vier uur) en 438 kWh (twee tot zes uur).<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Vlootoperators hebben krachtige laadstations nodig<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>E-voertuigen zijn slechts een deel van het ecosysteem. Vlootoperators hebben onder andere krachtige laadstations nodig die betrouwbaar en effici\u00ebnt stroom leveren. Detroit eConsulting is een klantgerichte oplossing met als doel de elektrificatie van transportvloten beheersbaar te maken.
