Twee derde is van mening dat digitale technologie\u00ebn, zoals het virtueel passen van kleding of het projecteren van meubels in de woonkamer, het aantal retouren kunnen verlagen.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Berlijn) Ze zorgen voor meer verpakkingsafval, extra kosten en belasten het milieu: retouren bij online winkelen. 15 procent van de online bestelde goederen wordt naar schatting door de exploitanten van online winkels geretourneerd. Bij bijna elke tweede online retailer (44 procent) nemen de retourzendingen zulke vormen aan dat ze de zaak belasten. 51 procent meldt stijgende kosten door retouren. Dit blijkt uit een representatieve enqu\u00eate in opdracht van de digitale vereniging Bitkom onder meer dan 500 handelsbedrijven in Duitsland, waaronder 203 retailers die gedeeltelijk of uitsluitend online verkopen.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15220\" src=\"https:\/\/transportjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Bitkom_28.10.21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Oorzaken van retouren analyseren met K1<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>De online handel is vooral in coronatijden een belangrijke pijler voor veel retailers geworden. Het omgaan met retouren wordt daarbij een grote uitdaging. &#8220;Voor de online retailers betekenen retouren enerzijds een omzetverlies en anderzijds extra personeel- en proceskosten. Voor het milieu leiden retouren tot meer CO2-uitstoot door extra leveringsroutes en meer verpakkingsafval,&#8221; zegt Dr. Bernhard Rohleder, algemeen directeur van Bitkom. &#8220;Met behulp van digitale technologie\u00ebn zoals AI, big data of virtual reality kunnen aankoopbeslissingen betrouwbaarder worden genomen.&#8221; Zo kan kleding bijvoorbeeld virtueel worden gepast, kunnen meubels in de woonkamer worden geprojecteerd. Bovendien kunnen retailers de oorzaken van retouren nauwkeurig analyseren met AI. Hierdoor wordt de kans op een retour verminderd. De meerderheid van de online retailers heeft dit voordeel van digitalisering al erkend: Twee derde (65 procent) zegt volgens de Bitkom-enqu\u00eate dat digitale technologie\u00ebn kunnen helpen het aantal retouren te verlagen.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Opmerking over de methodologie<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>De basis van de gegevens is een enqu\u00eate die Bitkom Research heeft uitgevoerd in opdracht van de digitale vereniging Bitkom. Daarbij zijn 505 handelaren - zowel online als offline - uit de groothandel en detailhandel in Duitsland telefonisch ondervraagd.
