De wereldwijd opererende Deense transport- en logistiekdienstverlener DSV heeft samen met Jungheinrich op zijn locatie in Vestby, ten zuiden van Oslo, een nieuw logistiek centrum gebouwd op 16.000 vierkante meter. Het nieuwe gebouw bestaat uit een volledig geautomatiseerd magazijn met 35.000 opslagplaatsen, dat wordt bediend door negen automatische smalgangtrucks van het type EKX 516a van Jungheinrich. Ook 25.000 andere handmatige opslagplaatsen maken deel uit van de logistieke oplossing.<\/p>\n

(Hamburg\/Vestby) De operatie in Vestby is ingericht op een vijfdaagse werkweek in twee ploegen. De voertuigen bewegen automatisch in de 32 gangen van elk 80 meter lang van het tien meter hoge hoogbouwmagazijn. Daarnaast leverde Jungheinrich de software Warehouse Control System (WCS), die dankzij een interface met het Warehouse Management System van DSV communiceert.<\/p>\n

Handmatige aanvoer naar het automatische magazijn<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Het technische hoogtepunt in Vestby bestaat uit een intelligente combinatie: De pallets worden handmatig zonder ruimte-innemende transporttechniek aan het automatische magazijn aangeleverd. Dit bespaart tijd, geld en ruimte. De maximaal 1.240 millimeter lange, 840 millimeter brede en 1.600 millimeter hoge Europallets worden met handmatig bediende Jungheinrich-stapelaars van de ETV-serie naar controlepunten gebracht, voordat de automatische opslag in het hoogbouwmagazijn plaatsvindt. Ook de gehele systeemomgeving van het DSV-magazijn komt van de Hamburgers: de stations voor het contourcheck van de pallets, de toegangcontroles en de veiligheidshekken en -poorten.<\/p>\n

Continue investering in effici\u00ebntie<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u201eDSV investeert continu in de effici\u00ebntie en optimalisatie van zijn logistieke processen\u201c, legt Ulf Erik Kruger Solheim, Managing Director bij DSV Global and Transport Logistics, de strategie uit die achter het automatiseringsproject in Noorwegen staat. \u201eDe langdurige samenwerking en onze zeer goede ervaringen met Jungheinrich als partner hebben in dit project de doorslag gegeven voor de gunning aan de Hamburgers.\u201c<\/p>\n

Complete oplossing uit \u00e9\u00e9n hand<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Sinds de opdrachtontvangst in november 2019 werkte Jungheinrich als hoofdaannemer aan de complete oplossing uit \u00e9\u00e9n hand \u2013 van de planning tot de uitvoering en de daaropvolgende klantenservice. Ook de coronacrisis en de tijdelijke, Europese grenssluitingen konden de intralogistieke experts niet tegenhouden. Om de planning niet in gevaar te brengen, werd Jungheinrich creatief \u2013 bijvoorbeeld in maart 2020: \u201eNaast 15 technici uit de after-sales hielpen ook vijf collega’s van het kantoor van Jungheinrich Logistics Systems twee weken lang op tien meter hoogte mee\u201c, herinnert Jens Gjerlaug, Manager Logistics System, Jungheinrich Noorwegen. \u201eZo konden we de planning voor de montage aanhouden. En voor de collega’s die normaal gesproken op kantoor werken, was deze inzet een spannende ervaring en tegelijkertijd een blijvende herinnering.”
