Rhenus Automotive heeft op 26 april een productielocatie geopend in het Chinese Shenyang voor de productie van voor- en achterassen voor een nieuw BMW-voertuigmodel. De automobiel-logistiek specialist van de Rhenus Groep zal in de toekomst als Tier-1-leverancier voor de ongeveer tien kilometer verderop gelegen BMW-fabriek in Dadong fungeren. Daarnaast neemt Rhenus de inkoop van alle voorafgaande componenten, het kwaliteitsmanagement en de co\u00f6rdinatie van het wereldwijde leveranciersnetwerk op zich.<\/p>\n

(Holzwickede\/Shenyang) Ter gelegenheid van de opening van de fabriek verwelkomde Rhenus naast vertegenwoordigers van de BMW Group ook de Duitse consul-generaal en de burgemeester van de miljoenenstad Shenyang. Aan de start van de asproductie ging een voorbereidingsfase van 18 maanden vooraf. Naast de opbouw van de eerste Chinese productiefaciliteit van Rhenus Automotive omvatte dit ook de oprichting van een Aziatische holding in Shanghai, die de overkoepelende processen en de verdere ontwikkeling van Rhenus Automotive in China aanstuurt.<\/p>\n

\u201eHet is ons gelukt om sterk geautomatiseerde installaties te ontwikkelen die de concepten en technologie\u00ebn van Industrie 4.0 en smart manufacturing met elkaar verenigen. Het resultaat zijn sterk verbonden componenten, gereedschappen en installaties die voldoen aan de hoge klantvereisten op het gebied van output en kwaliteit\u201c, vat Dr. Marcus Ewig, Managing Director van Rhenus Automotive, samen.<\/p>\n

Terrein van 20.000 vierkante meter<\/strong><\/h5>\n

In totaal beslaat de exclusief voor de BMW Group ge\u00ebxploiteerde locatie een oppervlakte van ongeveer 20.000 vierkante meter. Ongeveer honderd voorkeursleveranciers brengen de voor de asproductie benodigde componenten naar de Rhenus-fabriek. De productie van de assen doorloopt ongeveer 20 stations.<\/p>\n

De voltooide voertuigen zijn bestemd voor de Aziatische markt, met name China. \u201eChina is voor ons een belangrijke groeimarkt die we al jaren in de gaten houden. De huidige markttoetreding is bewust gekozen, want we verwachten in de komende jaren een grote dynamiek. Naast de bekende OEM’s brengen steeds meer lokale partners alternatieve productieconcepten op de markt\u201c, aldus Dr. Marcus Ewig.<\/p>\n

Rhenus Automotive is wereldwijd op 67 locaties vertegenwoordigd, naast China en Duitsland ook in de VS, Belgi\u00eb, Polen, Spanje en Rusland.<\/p>\n
