Het logistieke bedrijf K\u00fchne+Nagel neemt de Aziatische logistieke dienstverlener Apex International Corporation over. Apex wordt beschouwd als een van de toonaangevende Aziatische luchtvracht specialisten. Dit is de grootste overname in de geschiedenis van K\u00fchne+Nagel en een belangrijke stap in de uitvoering van de strategische ambities in Azi\u00eb.<\/p>\n

(Schindellegi) K\u00fchne+Nagel heeft bindende contracten ondertekend voor de overname van Apex International Corporation (“Apex”). Het bedrijf is een van de toonaangevende logistieke aanbieders in Azi\u00eb, met name in de transpacifische en intra-Aziatische ruimte. Apex werd in 2001 in China opgericht en heeft in de loop der jaren in heel Azi\u00eb en daarbuiten uitgebreid. Met ongeveer 1.600 medewerkers genereert Apex een jaarlijkse omzet van meer dan CHF 2,1 miljard. In 2020 verwerkte het bedrijf een luchtvrachtvolume van ongeveer 750.000 ton en een zeevrachtvolume van 190.000 TEU.<\/p>\n

Toegevoegde waarde voor de toeleveringsketens van klanten<\/h5>\n

Tony Song, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur en CEO van Apex, voegt toe: “Met K\u00fchne+Nagel hebben we een strategische meerderheidsaandeelhouder met meer dan 130 jaar succesverhaal gewonnen. De transactie breidt ons wereldwijde logistieke netwerk uit en cre\u00ebert aanzienlijke toegevoegde waarde voor de toeleveringsketens van onze klanten. Onze medewerkers zullen het wereldwijde luchtvrachtteam van K\u00fchne+Nagel perfect aanvullen; tegelijkertijd kunnen we hen unieke, nieuwe carri\u00e8reperspectieven bieden.”<\/p>\n

Dr. J\u00f6rg Wolle, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van K\u00fchne + Nagel International AG, commentarieert: “In de afgelopen jaren heeft K\u00fchne+Nagel de activiteiten in de Aziatisch-Pacifische regio intensief en strategisch uitgebreid. De overname van Apex is een belangrijke mijlpaal in onze strategie met een focus op Azi\u00eb, een van de snelst groeiende regio’s in de wereldeconomie.”<\/p>\n

De overname is onder voorbehoud van de gebruikelijke contractuele afsluitvoorwaarden, inclusief goedkeuring door de relevante mededingingsautoriteiten. De aankoopprijs wordt gefinancierd uit beschikbare liquide middelen en, indien nodig, uit bestaande kredietlijnen. Een klein percentage van de Apex-aandelen blijft ook na de sluiting bij het ervaren management van Apex. Na de afronding van de transactie zal het bedrijf binnen de K\u00fchne+Nagel-groep zelfstandig blijven opereren. Beide partijen hebben op dit moment afgesproken om geen verdere details van de transactie openbaar te maken.<\/p>\n
