Het Duitse Logistiekcongres, dat van woensdag tot vrijdag volgende week in Berlijn zou plaatsvinden, wordt omgevormd naar een volledig digitaal formaat. Het presidium, de raad van bestuur en de directie van de BVL hebben dit vanochtend besloten onder de indruk van de verslechterende Corona-situatie.<\/p>\n

(Bremen\/Berlijn) Uit verantwoordelijkheid voor de gezondheid van alle betrokkenen hebben de hoogste organen van de BVL na intensieve overleggen nu besloten de fysieke bijeenkomst in Berlijn af te gelasten. Het grootste deel van de inhoud van het congres zal volgende week als een volledig digitaal formaat worden aangeboden, verdere onderdelen zullen als webinars volgen. De tentoonstelling en de netwerkevenementen worden volledig afgelast.<\/p>\n

\u201eMet de tot nu toe geplande mix van een analoog en digitaal congresformaat wilden we een teken van moed en vertrouwen geven en de beslissers in de logistieke sector in dit moeilijke jaar een platform bieden voor persoonlijk contact\u201c, aldus prof. Thomas Wimmer, de voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van de BVL. Tot afgelopen weekend gaf de boekingssituatie van de BVL gelijk, die naast het programma ook met een uitgebreid hygi\u00ebneconcept overtuigde. Sindsdien echter merkt zij een onzekerheid bij deelnemers, exposanten, sponsors en ook enkele dienstverleners die bij het congres betrokken zouden zijn.<\/p>\n

BVL betreurt afgelasting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201eDe Corona-ontwikkeling baart veel mensen zorgen. Vandaag is er dus een totaal andere situatie dan in de zomer, toen de organen van de BVL besloten hadden het congres van 21 tot 23 oktober 2020 als een ‘hybride’ evenement met een hoog fysiek aandeel ter plaatse uit te voeren\u201c, aldus Wimmer. De raad van bestuur en de directie van de BVL betreuren de afgelasting van de fysieke bijeenkomst ten zeerste. Ze bedanken alle exposanten, sponsors en deelnemers die een deelname in Berlijn gepland hadden. De BVL zal zich op korte termijn rechtstreeks in verbinding stellen met alle betrokken partners en klanten.<\/p>\n
