Questo blocco, che secondo la SSI ostacola dal 2011 gli investimenti responsabili negli impianti di riciclaggio navale, non pu\u00f2 pi\u00f9 essere giustificato dalle prove attuali. La SSI chiede ai negoziatori del Gruppo di Lavoro Aperto (OEWG-15) della Convenzione di Basilea di stabilire l&#8217;Organizzazione Marittima Internazionale (IMO) come interlocutore tecnico centrale per la Convenzione di Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<h3>Richieste ai negoziatori<\/h3>\n<p>La SSI fa appello ai negoziatori affinch\u00e9 formalizzino un flusso di lavoro tecnico comune. Questo dovrebbe connettere le esperienze della fase MEPC 83 con i risultati analitici del gruppo di lavoro prima della COP18 a Panama City nell&#8217;aprile 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo le recenti ricerche della SSI, condotte ad Alang, India, ci sono ora prove provenienti da un impianto di riciclaggio navale certificato nel Sud Asia che confermano l&#8217;efficacia della Convenzione di Hong Kong.
