Nell&#8217;ambito di una dimostrazione, l&#8217;autorit\u00e0 portuale di Rotterdam e i partner del progetto europeo MAGPIE hanno mostrato come una nave fluviale possa navigare autonomamente tra due terminal in un porto molto trafficato. La nave ha affrontato la sfida di muoversi in sicurezza sotto il traffico navale regolare.<\/p>\n<p>La nave fluviale <em>MS Letitia<\/em>, appartenente al gruppo HTS, \u00e8 partita da Amaliahaven sulla Maasvlakte e ha navigato attraverso l&#8217;Europoort e il Nieuwe Waterweg fino al Waalhaven di Rotterdam. Durante la dimostrazione, la <em>MS Letitia<\/em>, dotata di propulsione convenzionale, ha operato in modo autonomo. Tuttavia, il capitano rimane responsabile e pu\u00f2 intervenire in qualsiasi momento, mentre il sistema supporta la navigazione e il processo decisionale.<\/p>\n<h3>Necessit\u00e0 della ricerca nella navigazione autonoma<\/h3>\n<p>Oscar van Veen, direttore per l&#8217;innovazione presso l&#8217;autorit\u00e0 portuale di Rotterdam, ha dichiarato:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201eLa navigazione autonoma consente nuovi concetti logistici che migliorano la flessibilit\u00e0, l&#8217;efficienza e l&#8217;affidabilit\u00e0 della navigazione interna. Questa rappresenta una via di trasporto importante per il traffico di hinterland del porto di Rotterdam. I container, le merci sfuse e i liquidi trasportati via vie navigabili interne alleviano la rete stradale e vengono movimentati in modo pi\u00f9 efficiente dal punto di vista energetico rispetto alla strada. Alla luce della crescita del volume di merci, \u00e8 fondamentale che la navigazione interna mantenga e ampli il proprio contributo al trasporto merci. La navigazione autonoma potrebbe giocare un ruolo in questo.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Il futuro dei porti intelligenti<\/h3>\n<p>L&#8217;Europa si trova ad affrontare grandi sfide legate alla transizione energetica, alla competitivit\u00e0 industriale, agli obiettivi climatici e alla resilienza strategica. I porti svolgono un ruolo sempre pi\u00f9 importante come sedi in cui vengono sviluppate e applicate innovazioni. Il progetto MAGPIE \u00e8 stato avviato per accelerare questo sviluppo.<\/p>\n<p>La navigazione autonoma \u00e8 uno dei dieci progetti dimostrativi all&#8217;interno di MAGPIE. Questi dimostratori nei settori marittimo, della navigazione interna, del trasporto ferroviario e stradale offrono spunti pratici che i porti possono implementare immediatamente per supportare la transizione verso operazioni pi\u00f9 ecologiche.<\/p>\n<h3>Implementazione delle innovazioni nella pratica<\/h3>\n<p>I partner del progetto Alphatron Marine, Argonics e Argonav integreranno elementi di questa dimostrazione nei loro prodotti di assistenza per navi fluviali. L&#8217;argoPositionPilot \u00e8 gi\u00e0 disponibile per navi con elica e timone fissi, mentre l&#8217;argoRadarPilot mostrer\u00e0 le intenzioni e avr\u00e0 un sistema di prevenzione delle collisioni.<\/p>\n<p>MAGPIE (sMArt Green Ports as Integrated Efficient multimodal hubs) \u00e8 un progetto di innovazione europeo che mira ad accelerare la transizione verso porti climaticamente neutrali. Coordinato dall&#8217;autorit\u00e0 portuale di Rotterdam e cofinanziato dall&#8217;Unione Europea, MAGPIE riunisce 45 partner per sviluppare, testare e scalare innovazioni nei settori dell&#8217;energia pulita, della digitalizzazione e della logistica sostenibile.
