Intende superare gli obiettivi di riduzione delle emissioni dell&#8217;International Maritime Organization (IMO) e dell&#8217;Unione Europea (UE) entro il 2030. Questo sar\u00e0 supportato dall&#8217;introduzione di BioLNG, che dovrebbe ulteriormente migliorare le prestazioni ambientali della flotta.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 2016, UECC ha consegnato i primi due Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC) a doppio carburante LNG, &#8222;Auto Eco&#8220; e &#8222;Auto Energy&#8220;. Queste navi, costruite presso il cantiere cinese NACKS, hanno stabilito nuovi standard per il trasporto marittimo ecologico nel commercio RoRo europeo a corto raggio, secondo UECC. Negli anni successivi, UECC ha ampliato la sua flotta con tre ulteriori PCTC ibridi a batteria a pi\u00f9 carburanti LNG, messi in servizio nel 2021. Queste nuove costruzioni, &#8222;Auto Achieve&#8220;, &#8222;Auto Aspire&#8220; e &#8222;Auto Advance&#8220;, sono state realizzate presso il cantiere Jiangnan.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategia di sostenibilit\u00e0 e investimenti futuri<\/h3>\n<p>Nel 2028 \u00e8 prevista la consegna di ulteriori quattro PCTC ibridi a batteria a pi\u00f9 carburanti LNG dal China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Nanjing. L&#8217;azienda segue una strategia che include l&#8217;integrazione della tecnologia LNG con caratteristiche di efficienza energetica, al fine di ottenere risparmi sulle emissioni e raggiungere gli obiettivi di zero emissioni nette.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo Glenn Edvardsen, CEO di UECC, l&#8217;azienda ha continuamente ridotto l&#8217;impronta di carbonio delle proprie operazioni negli ultimi dieci anni grazie a misure proattive. Questo si \u00e8 rivelato un vantaggio competitivo, soprattutto dopo l&#8217;introduzione della regolamentazione sulla tassazione del CO\u2082. Gli investimenti in nuove costruzioni hanno anche contribuito a ridurre l&#8217;esposizione al sistema di scambio delle emissioni dell&#8217;UE (EU ETS) e a gestire la flotta con un surplus di conformit\u00e0 sotto FuelEU Maritime. Questo consente a UECC di evitare sovrapprezzi e di creare potenziali di guadagno attraverso il pooling.<\/p>\n<h3>Progressi nella riduzione delle emissioni<\/h3>\n<p>UECC ha dichiarato di aver fissato l&#8217;obiettivo di ridurre le emissioni del 45% entro il 2030 rispetto al 2014, corrispondente a circa 186.600 t di CO\u2082. Nell&#8217;anno scorso, l&#8217;azienda ha registrato una riduzione di quasi 154.500 t di CO\u2082, rappresentando un miglioramento rispetto alle 3.200 t del 2017. Inoltre, UECC ha promosso lo sviluppo di una rete di rifornimento per stimolare la domanda di BioLNG. \u00c8 stato firmato un accordo di fornitura con Titan Clean Fuels per il rifornimento LBM nel porto di Rotterdam, per servire la principale rete commerciale Nord-Sud dell&#8217;azienda sotto il motto &#8222;Sail for Change&#8220;.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8222;Abbiamo sfruttato efficacemente
