(&#8222;K&#8220; LINE) ha recentemente firmato contratti con la China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. per costruire quattro trasportatori di automobili che possono essere alimentati a LNG (gas naturale liquefatto). Queste navi, che hanno una capacit\u00e0 di 1.380 veicoli, sono destinate alla &#8222;K&#8220; Line European Sea Highway Services GmbH (KESS), la filiale europea di &#8222;K&#8220; LINE, come comunicato dall&#8217;azienda.<\/p>\n<p>I trasportatori di automobili sono progettati secondo &#8222;K&#8220; LINE per il traffico marittimo costiero europeo e dovrebbero facilitare il trasporto di piccoli carichi. Una caratteristica delle navi \u00e8 la loro adattabilit\u00e0 alle restrizioni di dimensione previste da alcuni porti europei per i veicoli importati. &#8222;K&#8220; LINE si aspetta che le specifiche tecniche delle navi conferiscano a KESS un vantaggio competitivo nel mercato europeo della navigazione costiera.<\/p>\n<h3>Dettagli tecnici e aspetti ambientali<\/h3>\n<p>Le navi saranno dotate di rampe di carico diritte che offrono una capacit\u00e0 di carico di 60 tonnellate. Questo consente a KESS di trasportare, oltre alle automobili, anche carichi pesanti e ingombranti. Un altro aspetto delle nuove navi \u00e8 l&#8217;uso del LNG come carburante per il propulsore a doppio combustibile. Questo dovrebbe ridurre le emissioni di anidride carbonica (CO2) del 25% &#8211; 30% e abbattere quasi completamente le emissioni di ossidi di zolfo (SOx), che contribuiscono all&#8217;inquinamento atmosferico, rispetto alle navi convenzionali che utilizzano olio pesante.
