Il volo dimostrativo faceva parte di una serie di voli di prova operativi nella regione del Benelux. La sosta presso il NSAC Business Terminal sottolinea il comune impegno degli aeroporti belgi di Ostenda-Bruges e Anversa di assumere un ruolo attivo nella transizione verso un&#8217;aviazione a basse emissioni.<\/p>\n<h3>Aeroporti regionali al centro dello sviluppo<\/h3>\n<p>Nathan De Valck, amministratore delegato degli aeroporti di Ostenda-Bruges e Anversa, sottolinea l&#8217;importanza degli aeroporti regionali: \u201cQuesti dispongono dello spazio necessario e della flessibilit\u00e0 operativa per testare e sviluppare nuove tecnologie come il volo elettrico in modo completo.\u201d Vede in questo sviluppo un&#8217;opportunit\u00e0 per rendere l&#8217;industria dell&#8217;aviazione pi\u00f9 sostenibile.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;introduzione dell&#8217;aviazione elettrica porter\u00e0 nei prossimi anni a un cambiamento nel trasporto aereo regionale. La nuova generazione di aerei elettrici e ibridi \u00e8 progettata per collegare in modo efficiente citt\u00e0 secondarie e centri commerciali all&#8217;interno di un raggio di 500-1.000 km con basse emissioni. \u201cQui si trovano le opportunit\u00e0 per i nostri aeroporti,\u201d continua De Valck. \u201cLe nostre sedi si trovano nel cuore economico dell&#8217;Europa occidentale; Paesi Bassi, Francia, Germania, Regno Unito e Lussemburgo sono tutti facilmente raggiungibili.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Focus su esigenze di trasporto critiche<\/h3>\n<p>Nella fase iniziale, gli aeroporti pianificano di concentrarsi su nicchie socialmente importanti nel trasporto merci. L&#8217;accento \u00e8 posto sul trasporto rapido e affidabile di organi e sulla distribuzione di farmaci urgenti. Inoltre, si presentano opportunit\u00e0 per l&#8217;e-commerce rapido e di piccole dimensioni e per il trasporto di beni di alta qualit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>De Valck si esprime in modo ottimista riguardo allo sviluppo futuro: \u201cCi aspettiamo che la tecnologia sia pronta per un&#8217;adozione pi\u00f9 ampia entro pochi anni, in modo che anche il trasporto passeggeri regolare e l&#8217;aviazione d&#8217;affari possano decollare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La specifica tecnica del volo di prova comprende il modello Beta Alia CTOL (CX300) con una capacit\u00e0 di carico di 560 kg e un&#8217;autonomia di 500-600 km.
