Questo aereo \u00e8 il primo di un totale di dodici macchine ordinate da Qantas. Il volo \u00e8 durato tre ore e 43 minuti e ha raggiunto un&#8217;altezza di oltre 12.500 m. A bordo si trovava un team di test specializzato di Airbus.<\/p>\n<p>La A350-1000ULR \u00e8 stata sviluppata appositamente per Qantas Airways, per consentire per la prima volta voli diretti tra Sydney e Londra. La distanza \u00e8 di quasi 18.500 km, con tempi di volo che possono arrivare fino a 22 ore. Questo \u00e8 reso possibile dall&#8217;integrazione di un serbatoio centrale di coda (RCT) nella struttura dell&#8217;aereo, che aumenta l&#8217;autonomia di 1.000 miglia nautiche. Ci\u00f2 \u00e8 possibile solo con contemporanei tagli alla capacit\u00e0 di carico, che nella versione normale A350-1000 prevede comunque 44 posizioni per contenitori LD3 (o 14 pallet standard).<\/p>\n<h3>Voli di test e certificazione<\/h3>\n<p>Durante il primo volo, l&#8217;equipaggio ha effettuato prove di prestazione generali dell&#8217;aereo e ha testato la nuova architettura del sistema di carburante. Questo volo segna l&#8217;inizio di una campagna di test di due mesi per la certificazione delle modifiche. Inoltre, sar\u00e0 certificato un nuovo sistema di raffreddamento per la cucina di bordo, che include unit\u00e0 di raffreddamento pi\u00f9 leggere ed efficienti per voli molto lunghi. Anche la ventilazione e il controllo della temperatura della cabina saranno ampiamente testati.<\/p>\n<p>Al termine della campagna di test, l&#8217;aereo MSN 707 sar\u00e0 adattato alle specifiche commerciali di Qantas. La seconda A350-1000ULR, prodotta per Qantas e prevista per la consegna ad aprile 2027, \u00e8 gi\u00e0 in una fase avanzata di assemblaggio finale e sar\u00e0 rollata fuori dalla verniciatura nei prossimi giorni. Successivamente, sar\u00e0 completato il layout della cabina premium con quattro classi e sar\u00e0 installato il motore.<\/p>\n<p>La A350-1000ULR \u00e8 la quarta variante passeggeri della famiglia A350, che include gi\u00e0 i modelli A350-900, A350-900ULR e A350-1000. Questi aerei hanno stabilito nuovi standard nel volo di lungo raggio, in particolare grazie a una significativa riduzione del consumo di carburante e delle emissioni di carbonio, oltre a un elevato livello di comfort per i passeggeri.<\/p>\n<p>Inoltre, la flotta passeggeri sar\u00e0 presto integrata dal nuovo cargo A350F, attualmente in fase di sviluppo presso Airbus, il cui primo volo \u00e8 previsto per la fine di quest&#8217;anno.<\/p>\n<p>Entro la fine di aprile 2026, la famiglia A350 aveva ricevuto un totale di 1.579 ordini da 68 clienti, con oltre 700 aerei in servizio con 41 operatori in tutto il mondo, principalmente su voli di lungo raggio.<\/p>\n<p>Qantas ha ordinato 12 A350-1000ULR nell&#8217;ambito del progetto Sunrise, che mira a superare una delle ultime sfide nel traffico aereo diretto dall&#8217;Australia.
