Secondo quanto riportato dalla Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA), il numero di arrivi di navi \u00e8 aumentato del 9% rispetto all&#8217;anno precedente, indicando un continuo recupero e una crescente dinamicit\u00e0 operativa. In totale, sono state registrate 8.630 navi, rispetto alle 7.912 arrivate nell&#8217;anno precedente.<\/p>\n<h3>Crescita dei volumi di carico<\/h3>\n<p>Questo sviluppo fa parte della strategia &#8222;Reinvent for Growth&#8220;, che mira a migliorare l&#8217;efficienza operativa e le prestazioni portuali. La TNPA ha riportato un aumento del volume di carico nei suoi otto porti marittimi commerciali del 4,2%, raggiungendo circa 304 milioni di tonnellate. Questo rappresenta la crescita pi\u00f9 forte dal periodo fiscale 2011\/12. \u00c8 particolarmente notevole che tre delle cinque principali categorie di carico abbiano registrato una forte crescita, mentre i segmenti delle merci varie e dei carichi liquidi mostrano segni di un graduale recupero.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;industria automobilistica ha guidato il recupero con una crescita a doppia cifra del 13,3%, con il porto di Durban che ha superato i suoi obiettivi di transito. Anche i volumi di container sono cresciuti notevolmente, aumentando del 7,1%, superando le aspettative di bilancio annuali del 3,6%. Questo aumento \u00e8 stato principalmente favorito da un incremento del 22% nei volumi di agrumi. I volumi di carico secco sono aumentati del 4,2%, principalmente a causa della domanda di esportazione di minerale di cromo, magnetite e manganese.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Phillips, CEO del Gruppo Transnet, ha dichiarato: &#8222;La forte performance di crescita complessiva segnala un ambiente economico migliorato a livello nazionale, inclusi i progressi derivanti dalle iniziative di recupero di Transnet e i miglioramenti nei flussi portuali e ferroviari. Questa crescita nell&#8217;attivit\u00e0 navale e nei volumi di carico dimostra che le misure di Transnet stanno producendo risultati misurabili.&#8220;<\/p>\n<h3>Progetti infrastrutturali a sostegno del futuro<\/h3>\n<p>Transnet prevede di portare avanti i progetti infrastrutturali in tutto il sistema portuale per supportare le esigenze future e migliorare la resilienza operativa. Nel porto di Durban sono previsti piani di espansione volti ad aumentare significativamente la capacit\u00e0 di movimentazione dei container. Inoltre, nel porto di Citt\u00e0 del Capo, i miglioramenti nella sistemazione dei container e nei parcheggi per camion mirano a incrementare l&#8217;efficienza e ridurre i colli di bottiglia.<\/p>\n<p>Gli sviluppi nei porti sudafricani indicano una tendenza positiva che potrebbe rafforzare sia la competitivit\u00e0 del paese che l&#8217;efficienza nel commercio
