Il Ministro indiano per i porti, la navigazione e le vie navigabili, Sarbananda Sonowal, sta portando avanti una strategia che unisce trasporto, commercio, turismo e gestione fluviale.<\/p>\n<p>Durante una riunione del Brahmaputra Board a Guwahati, capitale dello stato indiano nordorientale dell&#8217;Assam, ministri, esperti e rappresentanti dello stato hanno discusso misure per una migliore pianificazione, per la protezione dalle inondazioni e per un uso sostenibile delle risorse idriche nel bacino fluviale e nel nord-est indiano. \u00c8 stata inoltre sottolineata l&#8217;importanza di tecnologie moderne come Gis, Lidar e modellazioni idrologiche.<\/p>\n<h3>Collegare il Brahmaputra ai porti marittimi<\/h3>\n<p>Il Ministro Sonowal ha dichiarato che al centro della strategia c&#8217;\u00e8 la consapevolezza che il Brahmaputra non \u00e8 solo un fiume, ma un attivo nazionale che pu\u00f2 promuovere la connettivit\u00e0 e la crescita economica in tutto il nord-est.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00abInland Waterways Authority of India\u00bb sta gi\u00e0 lavorando per sfruttare il potenziale del Brahmaputra. Una parte del fiume \u00e8 gi\u00e0 stata dichiarata \u00abNational Waterway 2\u00bb indiana. Il Brahmaputra collega l&#8217;Assam e altre regioni del nord-est attraverso la \u00abIndo-Bangladesh Protocol Route\u00bb con i porti marittimi indiani di Kolkata e Haldia.
