L&#8217;obiettivo \u00e8 migliorare l&#8217;occupazione dei treni, ridurre i costi e rendere il trasporto ferroviario di merci pi\u00f9 sostenibile a lungo termine. Il contesto \u00e8 rappresentato dalla direttiva del governo federale, secondo cui il traffico merci dovr\u00e0 essere gestito in modo autonomo a partire dal 2033.<\/p>\n<p>In futuro, circa 50 punti di servizio con bassa domanda non saranno pi\u00f9 serviti nell&#8217;EWLV. Oggi la rete comprende circa 280 localit\u00e0. Secondo le informazioni fornite dalla SBB, circa il 98% dei volumi di trasporto attuali continuer\u00e0 a essere trasportato su rotaia. Allo stesso tempo, treni meglio utilizzati dovrebbero aumentare l&#8217;efficienza.<\/p>\n<p>Per circa 200 dipendenti in Svizzera, il cambiamento comporta delle modifiche, in particolare trasferimenti di sede. Sono interessati, tra gli altri, i siti di Brig, Buchs SG, Chiasso, Thun e Friburgo. Secondo la SBB, i licenziamenti dovrebbero rimanere un&#8217;eccezione.
