Ci\u00f2 segue una pausa di sei mesi imposta dopo il tragico incidente di un MD-11F di UPS nel novembre 2025. L&#8217;agenzia per l&#8217;aviazione civile statunitense FAA ha emesso un&#8217;ordinanza di emergenza che richiedeva un&#8217;ispezione completa della flotta MD-11F. FedEx aveva gi\u00e0 annunciato a gennaio che stava collaborando con Boeing e la FAA per consentire il ritorno degli aerei entro la fine del quarto trimestre, che termina il 31 maggio.<\/p>\n<p>La flotta di FedEx comprende un totale di 29 MD-11F, attualmente parcheggiati. La maggior parte di questi cargo ha pi\u00f9 di 30 anni, con il modello pi\u00f9 vecchio che ha 36 anni.
