Cydome, specialista nella cybersicurezza marittima, avverte che le navi rimangono comunque localizzabili elettronicamente anche con l&#8217;AIS disattivato.<\/p>\n<p>La ragione di ci\u00f2 sono altre interfacce digitali, in particolare le connessioni satellitari VSAT, che trasmettono dati in modo continuo. Anche se una nave diventa invisibile per i sistemi di localizzazione classici, la sua posizione pu\u00f2 essere comunque riconosciuta attraverso questi canali. Cydome sottolinea che una concentrazione esclusiva sulla disattivazione dell&#8217;AIS pu\u00f2 addirittura aumentare i rischi.<\/p>\n<p>Questo, secondo Cydome, \u00e8 dovuto al fatto che \u00abl&#8217;equipaggio crede di essere nascosto, mentre gli attori delle minacce possono continuare a seguire e mirare la nave attraverso la sua firma VSAT. La mancata chiusura di questa lacuna comporta non solo il rischio di una violazione dei dati; potrebbe mettere in pericolo la sicurezza fisica dell&#8217;equipaggio, l&#8217;integrit\u00e0 del carico e molto altro.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le indagini mostrano inoltre che molti sistemi VSAT sono insufficientemente protetti e offrono potenziali punti di attacco. Inoltre, possono servire come ingresso nelle reti di bordo e influenzare sistemi critici.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;azienda raccomanda quindi un approccio alla sicurezza completo.
