Con soli 16 incidenti segnalati in tutto il mondo, si tratta del numero pi\u00f9 basso per il primo trimestre dal 1991. Questo sviluppo \u00e8 considerato il risultato di una cooperazione sostenibile e di misure di enforcement, tuttavia la sicurezza degli equipaggi rimane una preoccupazione centrale.<\/p>\n<h3>Calano gli incidenti e persistono i rischi<\/h3>\n<p>Nel periodo da gennaio a marzo 2026 sono stati registrati 16 incidenti, rispetto ai 45 del primo trimestre del 2025 e ai 33 dello stesso periodo del 2024. Gli incidenti includevano 14 boardaggi di navi, un tentativo di rapimento e un attacco riuscito. Nella maggior parte dei casi, i criminali sono riusciti ad accedere alle navi, con il 94% degli incidenti che ha registrato boardaggi riusciti. Nonostante il significativo calo del numero totale di incidenti, i rischi per gli equipaggi non sono scomparsi.<\/p>\n<p>John W.H. Denton AO, Segretario Generale dell&#8217;ICC, sottolinea: &#8222;La maggior parte del commercio mondiale avviene via mare. La sicurezza delle principali rotte commerciali \u00e8 quindi non solo un problema marittimo, ma anche una questione di fiducia per l&#8217;economia globale.&#8220; Michael Howlett, Direttore dell&#8217;IMB, aggiunge: &#8222;\u00c8 positivo vedere che gli incidenti segnalati di pirateria e rapina armata in mare sono scesi ai livelli pi\u00f9 bassi dal 1991. Questo dimostra gli effetti positivi delle segnalazioni tempestive e della cooperazione sostenibile, tuttavia \u00e8 essenziale mantenere una vigilanza continua per garantire la sicurezza dei marittimi e delle rotte marittime.&#8220;<\/p>\n<h3>Sviluppi regionali e incidenti specifici<\/h3>\n<p>Lo Stretto di Singapore ha registrato la maggiore concentrazione mondiale con otto incidenti, che rappresentano per\u00f2 un netto calo rispetto ai 31 incidenti dello stesso periodo dell&#8217;anno precedente. La maggior parte di questi incidenti \u00e8 stata classificata come a bassa soglia e opportunistica, con armi segnalate in sei casi. In due incidenti separati, un membro dell&#8217;equipaggio \u00e8 stato rapito e un altro ferito. Tutte le navi coinvolte, tra cui due portacontainer con oltre 150.000 DWT, sono state boardate con successo.<\/p>\n<p>Al contrario, nelle Filippine si sono verificati quattro incidenti, che rappresentano un aumento rispetto ai zero incidenti dello stesso periodo del 2025. Due incidenti si sono verificati nell&#8217;area di ancoraggio di Manila e due nell&#8217;area di ancoraggio di Bauan nella baia di Batangas, con un membro dell&#8217;equipaggio rapito. L&#8217;IMB richiede una stretta collaborazione tra le autorit\u00e0 regionali e l&#8217;industria marittima per migliorare la sicurezza degli equipaggi in queste acque.<\/p>\n<p>Nel settore della pirateria somala sono stati segnalati due incidenti: un attacco e un rapimento riuscito.<\/p>\n<h3>Vigilanza nel Golfo di Guinea e importanza della segnalazione<\/h3>\n<p>Nel Golfo di Guinea \u00e8 stato segnalato un furto nell&#8217;area di ancoraggio di Takoradi in Ghana, il che rappresenta un gradito allentamento. Nonostante il calo degli incidenti, l&#8217;IMB sottolinea la necessit\u00e0 di una vigilanza continua e di una cooperazione sostenibile per garantire la sicurezza dei marittimi e la protezione del commercio in queste acque.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;IMB ribadisce l&#8217;importanza delle segnalazioni tempestive al Centro di Segnalazione Pirateria dell&#8217;IMB (PRC). Segnalazioni rapide consentono reazioni immediate, aiutano a prevenire ulteriori incidenti e migliorano la sicurezza per le navi che operano nelle vicinanze.
