Questa richiesta arriva in un contesto di crisi globale delle catene di approvvigionamento e di aumento dei prezzi del petrolio. In particolare, l&#8217;attenzione \u00e8 rivolta all&#8217;azienda DP World, che gestisce diversi terminal container in Australia e persegue un&#8217;ampia agenda di automazione e IA, promossa dai proprietari stranieri dell&#8217;azienda.<\/p>\n<p>DP World gestisce terminal a Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne e Fremantle, guadagnandosi cos\u00ec una posizione dominante nel mercato australiano dei terminal container. La direzione australiana dell&#8217;azienda sta seguendo un&#8217;agenda per l&#8217;implementazione di IA e automazione, avviata dall&#8217;ex CEO globale Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo la MUA, DP World ha generato negli ultimi anni centinaia di milioni di dollari da aziende e consumatori australiani, ma ha pagato poche tasse in Australia. Per oltre un decennio, l&#8217;azienda non ha pagato l&#8217;imposta sulle societ\u00e0, mentre i salari dei lavoratori e le relative tasse, che nel 2025 ammontavano a quasi 50 milioni di USD, rappresentavano i principali contributi all&#8217;economia del paese.<\/p>\n<h3>Rapporto su automazione e perdita di posti di lavoro<\/h3>\n<p>Insieme al Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research (Cictar), la MUA ha presentato al Parlamento australiano il <a href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/636a46c59a62847f542195d2\/t\/69bfa4856f5ac0743eeadbe8\/1774167173096\/MUA_DP_28p_web+version.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rapporto &#8222;Perdita di posti di lavoro e spostamento dei profitti presso DP World: come l&#8217;automazione IA minaccia il benessere economico dell&#8217;Australia&#8220;<\/a>. Il rapporto descrive come Dubai Ports prevede di introdurre un&#8217;ampia automazione IA in Australia, il che potrebbe mettere a rischio fino a 1.000 posti di lavoro, ovvero oltre il 60% della forza lavoro. L&#8217;automazione proposta sostituirebbe posti di lavoro qualificati e sindacalizzati con veicoli senza conducente e gru controllate a distanza. Le tariffe pi\u00f9 elevate, che vengono trasferite a imprese e consumatori, contribuiscono all&#8217;inflazione.<\/p>\n<p>La MUA ha richiesto una serie di misure per garantire la catena di approvvigionamento australiana, al fine di proteggere la comunit\u00e0 e l&#8217;economia da shock globali. Queste richieste sono particolarmente rilevanti alla luce della recente crisi petrolifera, scatenata da tensioni geopolitiche.<\/p>\n<p>Le raccomandazioni del rapporto includono, tra l&#8217;altro:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Supervisione rigorosa e trasparenza per i sistemi IA sul posto di lavoro<br \/>\n&#8211; Protezione dei dati dei lavoratori e divieto di pratiche di sorveglianza invasive<br \/>\n&#8211; Prioritizzazione della sicurezza, della sicurezza del lavoro e del beneficio pubblico rispetto ai profitti aziendali<br \/>\n&#8211; Garanzia di pieni diritti di
