L&#8217;obiettivo \u00e8 ridurre gli inquinanti atmosferici provenienti dalla navigazione e proteggere meglio gli ecosistemi sensibili.<\/p>\n<p>Le emission control areas (ECA) servono a ridurre le emissioni regionali di ossidi di zolfo, ossidi di azoto e particolato fine. In questo modo si mira a migliorare la qualit\u00e0 dell&#8217;aria e a ridurre i rischi per la salute. Le normative sono in vigore da subito, ma un periodo di transizione per limiti di zolfo pi\u00f9 severi durer\u00e0 fino a marzo 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Focus su ulteriori fonti di emissione<\/p>\n<p>Oltre ai progressi sui classici inquinanti, l&#8217;organizzazione richiede misure aggiuntive per la riduzione delle particelle di fuliggine. Queste contribuiscono in modo significativo al riscaldamento dell&#8217;Artico e accelerano lo scioglimento delle superfici ghiacciate.<\/p>\n<p>Pressione crescente per l&#8217;azione<\/p>\n<p>La navigazione nell&#8217;Artico \u00e8 in aumento, il che porta anche a un incremento delle emissioni. In questo contesto, l&#8217;alleanza vede la necessit\u00e0 di ulteriori regolamentazioni a livello internazionale.<\/p>\n<p>La International Maritime Organization (IMO) dovrebbe quindi esaminare misure aggiuntive per limitare in modo pi\u00f9 completo le emissioni e ridurre gli impatti ambientali a lungo termine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cleanarctic.org\" target=\"_blank\"
