Essa sostituisce la tradizionale coppia a vite manuale e automatizza il processo di accoppiamento. Oltre alla connessione meccanica e pneumatica dei vagoni merci, che avviene tramite tubazioni ad aria compressa per i freni, la DAK consente anche la trasmissione di energia e dati.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo quanto dichiarato dalla RCG, l&#8217;azienda svolge un ruolo attivo nello sviluppo della DAK. Con il &#8222;treno dimostrativo DAK&#8220; il sistema viene testato e ulteriormente sviluppato, con l&#8217;obiettivo di portarlo alla produzione in serie. Recenti test invernali in Austria hanno dimostrato, secondo la RCG, che la tecnologia funziona in modo affidabile anche in condizioni climatiche impegnative. Dopo preparativi tecnici e l&#8217;integrazione di diversi sistemi di accoppiamento, il &#8222;treno dimostrativo DAK&#8220; \u00e8 stato messo in funzione. Questo treno di prova serve, secondo la RCG, a verificare l&#8217;interazione tra meccanica, elettricit\u00e0 e trasmissione dei dati, assicurando che i sistemi siano compatibili tra diversi
