Questo emerge da un rapporto commissionato da cinque grandi compagnie di navigazione, come reso noto dal porto di Rotterdam. Le aziende CMA CGM, Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk e MSC vedrebbero l&#8217;OCCS come una soluzione promettente per ridurre le emissioni di CO\u2082 nel settore marittimo, soprattutto in combinazione con combustibili a basse emissioni di carbonio e privi di carbonio.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;urgenza di sviluppare soluzioni di decarbonizzazione rimane, secondo il porto di Rotterdam, anche dopo che l&#8217;Organizzazione Marittima Internazionale (IMO) ha posticipato l&#8217;introduzione del sistema di obiettivi per la navigazione a emissioni zero (NZF). Il porto sottolinea anche la necessit\u00e0 di un quadro normativo chiaro per promuovere l&#8217;implementazione e gli investimenti.<\/p>\n<h3>Sviluppo della catena del valore del CO\u2082<\/h3>\n<p>Il rapporto \u00e8 stato avviato dopo che l&#8217;autorit\u00e0 portuale di Rotterdam ha riunito pi\u00f9 di 25 attori nel 2025 per supportare lo sviluppo della catena di cattura e stoccaggio del CO\u2082. Un aspetto centrale dell&#8217;indagine \u00e8 la catena del valore fisica, che comprende lo sviluppo di una catena di CO\u2082 liquido (LCO\u2082). In questo processo, il CO\u2082 viene catturato a bordo delle navi, liquefatto e successivamente trasferito a navi nei porti. Queste navi trasportano il CO\u2082 verso terminal di stoccaggio temporanei a Rotterdam e Singapore, prima che venga indirizzato verso i siti di stoccaggio finali.<\/p>\n<p>Un altro focus del rapporto \u00e8 sulla riduzione del CO\u2082 e sulle opportunit\u00e0 economiche nel settore a valle.
