Un nuovo accordo sostenuto dallo stato, recentemente annunciato, dovrebbe consentire il ritorno del traffico ferroviario merci regolare attraverso la Manica. Questa iniziativa \u00e8 considerata dal governo britannico come parte della sua strategia per promuovere il trasporto ferroviario di merci, come comunicato.<\/p>\n<p>Nell&#8217;ambito dell&#8217;accordo, Network Rail, insieme alla sua societ\u00e0 di sviluppo immobiliare Platform4, assumer\u00e0 il controllo dell&#8217;area del Barking Eurohub nell&#8217;est di Londra. L&#8217;area appartiene attualmente alla societ\u00e0 Legal &amp; General. I piani prevedono investimenti per circa 15 milioni di sterline per trasformare l&#8217;area in un nodo logistico internazionale.<\/p>\n<p>La ripresa del traffico merci regolare attraverso il tunnel della Manica \u00e8 vista dal governo come una misura per ridurre l&#8217;inquinamento ambientale, le buche e il traffico.
