Nell&#8217;ambito della loro pi\u00f9 grande operazione con carburante per aviazione sostenibile (SAF) in America Latina, le aziende hanno risparmiato circa 300 t di CO\u2082e. Questa misura riguarda il trasporto di oltre 495 t di fiori, corrispondenti a circa 10 milioni di steli, da Bogot\u00e1 a Miami in occasione di San Valentino, uno dei periodi pi\u00f9 importanti per l&#8217;industria floreale.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;iniziativa, che ora \u00e8 giunta al suo terzo anno, utilizza il metodo &#8222;Book and Claim&#8220; per il SAF, al fine di ridurre le emissioni associate all&#8217;esportazione di fiori colombiani. Secondo Kuehne+Nagel, l&#8217;uso di oltre 130.000 l di SAF copre il consumo di carburante di otto voli cargo B767 su questa rotta.<\/p>\n<h3>Cooperazione per soluzioni sostenibili<\/h3>\n<p>Ana San Carlos, Sustainability Manager per l&#8217;America Latina di Kuehne+Nagel, sottolinea l&#8217;importanza della collaborazione con i partner per promuovere cambiamenti positivi nella logistica aerea e nel settore dei prodotti deperibili. &#8222;Siamo orgogliosi del nostro impegno continuo per espandere questa iniziativa anno dopo anno e ispirare sempre pi\u00f9 attori in America Latina e nel mondo a promuovere iniziative di decarbonizzazione nelle nostre catene di approvvigionamento&#8220;, spiega San Carlos.<\/p>\n<p>Cristina O\u00f1ate, VP per la sostenibilit\u00e0 e i prodotti di LATAM Cargo, evidenzia che la riduzione delle emissioni nel settore aereo richiede diverse soluzioni e, soprattutto, collaborazione. &#8222;Insieme ai nostri clienti, abbiamo fatto un ulteriore passo verso un&#8217;aviazione sostenibile applicando i vantaggi ambientali del carburante per aviazione sostenibile nella catena di fornitura dei fiori.
