Il professor Hilton Staniland, CEO di SRI, sottolinea che questa problematica pu\u00f2 essere risolta solo affrontando le carenze strutturali fondamentali nel settore marittimo.<\/p>\n<p>Il professor Staniland evidenzia che, sebbene ci siano molti armatori responsabili che si impegnano a rispettare gli standard, le condizioni di concorrenza nel settore sono sbilanciate. Questo consente a proprietari senza scrupoli di gestire sia le navi che gli equipaggi in condizioni precarie e di abbandonarli in caso di problemi. Nonostante gli sforzi dell&#8217;Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro (ILO) e dell&#8217;Organizzazione Marittima Internazionale (IMO) per promuovere la trasparenza e la responsabilit\u00e0, molte sfide rimarranno.<\/p>\n<p>Nel aprile 2026, il tema sar\u00e0 nuovamente trattato nella riunione del Comitato giuridico dell&#8217;IMO.
