La particolarit\u00e0: il motore della RMS Ruhrort \u00e8 predisposto per utilizzare il metanolo come carburante. Il metanolo \u00e8 considerato, insieme all&#8217;idrogeno e all&#8217;ammoniaca, un combustibile navale ecologico e sostenibile per il futuro.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Duisburg) Fino a quel momento, la RMS Ruhrort naviga con un motore diesel ed \u00e8 gi\u00e0 attrezzata secondo i pi\u00f9 recenti standard tecnici per soddisfare le attuali e future normative sul CO2.<\/p>\n<p>Rhenus ha acquisito la RMS Ruhrort come scafo grezzo da un cantiere navale rumeno, dove lo scafo era stato commissionato da un armatore norvegese, ma non completato. Rhenus ha trasferito la nave in un cantiere turco, dove attualmente viene allestita da Handelskade Shipsales BV di Dordrecht come rappresentante generale. &#8220;Lo scafo si integra perfettamente nel portafoglio della nostra flotta esistente. Ha una dimensione che negli ultimi anni non \u00e8 stata praticamente pi\u00f9 costruita per la navigazione costiera europea. Le navi di questo tipo e dimensione sono di solito pi\u00f9 vecchie di 20 anni e tecnicamente obsolete. Anche se non possiamo pi\u00f9 modificare la scocca in acciaio, possiamo concentrarci sull&#8217;allestimento con un sistema di propulsione a basse emissioni e la pi\u00f9 recente tecnologia digitale in plancia, in modo che la RMS Ruhrort sia ben attrezzata per il futuro&#8221;, afferma Ralf Uebachs, amministratore delegato di Rhenus Maritime Services.<\/p>\n<h5>Riconversione senza troppi sforzi<\/h5>\n<p>La scelta \u00e8 ricaduta su un motore diesel Mitsubishi a otto cilindri a basse emissioni, che \u00e8 &#8220;pronto per il metanolo&#8221;. &#8220;Se la navigazione dovesse concordare su un combustibile alternativo, il motore pu\u00f2 essere convertito senza troppi sforzi in un &#8216;motore a metanolo&#8217; quasi neutro dal punto di vista climatico. Per ridurre gi\u00e0 ora le emissioni, abbiamo ridotto la potenza del motore diesel dal valore standard di 1.350 kW a 1.100 kW. \u00c8 pi\u00f9 che sufficiente navigare a 10,5 nodi invece di 12&#8221;, spiega Menno van der Plas di Handelskade Shipsales BV.<\/p>\n<p>Per rendere la RMS Ruhrort il pi\u00f9 ecologica possibile, \u00e8 stato installato un ugello attorno all&#8217;elica e utilizzata una vernice per la verniciatura esterna che riduce la resistenza durante la navigazione. Entrambi questi elementi risparmiano carburante e riducono significativamente le emissioni di CO2. Ulteriori misure ecologiche includono un catalizzatore SCR, che previene le emissioni di azoto, e un sistema di trattamento delle acque di zavorra per proteggere la flora e la fauna marine da organismi estranei. Inoltre, la nave soddisfa anche i requisiti pi\u00f9 severi dell&#8217;Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) \u2013 un valore che rappresenta le emissioni specifiche di CO2 delle navi cargo.<\/p>\n<h5>La navigabilit\u00e0 sar\u00e0 testata<\/h5>\n<p>Dopo il completamento, la RMS Ruhrort potr\u00e0 essere utilizzata per la navigazione marittima globale. Il vantaggio: grazie alla costruzione pi\u00f9 compatta, \u00e8 possibile un impiego nella navigazione di nicchia, ad esempio sul Reno. Prima che ci\u00f2 avvenga, a met\u00e0 ottobre si svolgeranno prima le cosiddette prove in mare, durante le quali la navigabilit\u00e0 dello scafo sar\u00e0 ampiamente testata e la nave sar\u00e0 autorizzata alla navigazione.
