Il volo LH8161 da New York (JFK) \u00e8 atterrato puntualmente alle 12:03 ora locale sulla pista 07R. Con questo atterraggio si \u00e8 concluso, dopo pi\u00f9 di 23 anni, l&#8217;impiego commerciale del tipo di aereo a tre motori MD-11F presso Lufthansa Cargo.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Francoforte\/Sul Meno) L&#8217;aereo di Lufthansa Cargo con la registrazione D-ALCC, l&#8217;ultimo MD-11F registrato in Europa, sar\u00e0 ora venduto a una compagnia aerea cargo americana.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Siamo molto grati alla nostra flotta di MD-11F per oltre due decenni di servizio fedele. In totale, Lufthansa Cargo ha operato diciannove MD-11, compreso l&#8217;ultimo mai prodotto (precedente registrazione D-ALCN, numero di serie 48806, consegnato il 25 gennaio 2001) e l&#8217;ultimo mai consegnato (precedente registrazione D-ALCM, numero di serie 48805, consegnato il 22 febbraio 2001) di questo tipo.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Sostituiti gradualmente da cargo Boeing 777 dal 2013<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Il cargo MD-11 \u00e8 lungo 61,4 metri con un&#8217;apertura alare di 51,7 metri e un&#8217;altezza di fino a 18 metri. Ha una capacit\u00e0 di carico di fino a 94,7 tonnellate, suddivisa in 26 posizioni sul ponte principale e fino a 14 ulteriori nel ponte inferiore. I cargo di Lufthansa Cargo erano alimentati da tre motori a reazione General Electric CF6-80C2D1F, ciascuno con una spinta standard di 273,57 kN.
