La compagnia di traghetti tedesco-danese Scandlines conferisce un accento speciale all&#8217;evento del giubileo: con quasi 170 metri di lunghezza e circa 25 metri di larghezza, il traghetto ibrido<\/p>\n<p>(Amburgo\/Rostock) Dal maggio 2020, la vela rotante, che da lontano ricorda pi\u00f9 un camino, \u00e8 installata sulla Copenhagen \u2013 e appare esattamente opposta: La vela rotante dell&#8217;azienda finlandese Norsepower riduce significativamente le emissioni di CO<sub>2<\/sub> del traghetto ibrido di ben quattro o cinque percento sulla tratta tra Rostock e Gedser.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Dopo quasi 100 anni, il Flettner-Rotor torna in Nord Germania<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>La tecnologia innovativa della vela rotante si basa sul concetto di quasi 100 anni fa della tecnologia del rotore Flettner: quando il vento colpisce il cilindro rotante, viene accelerato su un lato e rallentato sull&#8217;altro lato del corpo. La differenza nella velocit\u00e0 del vento porta a una differenza di pressione che genera una forza perpendicolare al vento \u2013 il cosiddetto effetto Magnus. Questo effetto aiuta a muovere la nave in avanti con vento laterale. L&#8217;ingegnere Anton Flettner inizi\u00f2 gi\u00e0 nel 1924 a testare la sua invenzione del rotore Flettner: a Kiel, trasform\u00f2 navi in velieri rotanti e condusse innumerevoli prove e dimostrazioni, anche a livello internazionale. Sfortunatamente, queste non si affermarono all&#8217;epoca, poich\u00e9 non erano adatte come unico propulsore in assenza di vento. Cos\u00ec, questa tecnologia fu soppiantata da motori a vapore e diesel e cadde nell&#8217;oblio. Scandlines ora punta nuovamente sull&#8217;efficienza dello spirito inventivo di Flettner dopo quasi un secolo: la vela rotante Norsepower \u00e8 una tecnologia eolica marittima pronta per l&#8217;uso, per la quale sulla rotta Scandlines ci sono le condizioni di vento ottimali e quindi il vantaggio commerciale \u00e8 evidente.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13294 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/transportjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Scandlines_3.8.21_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1568\" height=\"740\" \/><\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Con vela rotante e propulsione ibrida verso una navigazione traghettistica ecologica<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>La pi\u00f9 grande &#8220;nave a vela&#8221; visibile durante la Hanse Sail non si distingue solo per la sua unica vela rotante, ma anche per molte altre misure di protezione climatica: il suo sistema ibrido include, come su altre navi Scandlines, oltre ai generatori diesel anche una propulsione elettrica. Un pacco batterie integra la propulsione e pu\u00f2 immagazzinare energia in eccesso direttamente a bordo e riutilizzarla per la propulsione quando necessario. Grazie alla transizione da traghetti diesel tradizionali a navi ibride all&#8217;avanguardia, il consumo di carburante sulla linea traghettistica \u00e8 stato notevolmente ridotto e, di conseguenza, anche le emissioni di CO<sub>2<\/sub> sono diminuite. Rispetto alle vecchie navi, oggi viene utilizzato solo circa un terzo del carburante per il traghetto per ogni auto trasportata. Inoltre, il traghetto utilizza propulsori a risparmio energetico e silenziosi, che producono meno rumore sottomarino. In questo modo, la fauna marina \u00e8 meno disturbata \u2013 il che \u00e8 particolarmente apprezzato dai delfini che stanno tornando a essere pi\u00f9 comuni nel Mar Baltico.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Stazioni di ricarica gratuite presso il BorderShop<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Per un futuro sostenibile, Scandlines punta su molti altri grandi e piccoli progetti in direzione della protezione ambientale e climatica: la compagnia sostiene, tra l&#8217;altro, gli obiettivi di sostenibilit\u00e0 delle Nazioni Unite.
