ITJ 39-40/2024
Dear readers,
Do you suffer from triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the number 13? Does the advent of Friday the 13th trigger panic attacks and crippling fear in you, because you believe 13 brings bad luck?
Don’t despair! The opposite can be said to be true too. Ten years ago, Zurich Insurance found that roughly 10% more claims were recorded on Fridays that didn’t fall on the 13th. Perhaps this will help you read this issue of the ITJ, published on this ordinary / special day, without a feeling of panic.
It is also an ‘ordinary’ issue because it offers you quality articles for which we’ve been known for more than 85 years. Innovation on the roads and the railways are covered in-depth – to coincide with IAA Transportation, just around the corner in Hanover, from September 17-22. It will be followed by Innotrans in Berlin, from 24-27 September.
Our reports will prepare you for the beginning of the last quarter of the year. We hope there’s plenty for you to look forward to in the next three months – until Friday the 13th of December.
Enjoy your read!
