International Transport Journal - ITJ 43-44
Dear readers,
Miami is definitely a promising locale for Messe München. The organiser of Transport Logistic (TL), the world’s leading logistics trade fair – in which you may also be planning to participate in June next year – is really keen on it.
As Tiaca’s partner, it wanted to make the Air Cargo Forum (ACF) a second TL in 2020 and 2022. That didn’t work, so we’ll see the next ACF from 11-14 November without Messe München, and with the typical airfreight exhibitors on site.
The German player isn’t discouraged by the cancellation of its first Americas airfreight summit, scheduled for mid-October, and is persisting with its plan to bless the world with its events in Istanbul, Mumbai, Nairobi, Shanghai and Singapore. The event in Panama was set to be organised together with the World Trade Center Miami, the organiser of the biennial Air Cargo Americas in Miami.
It didn’t work in tandem, so Messe München took over Air Cargo Americas from the previous organiser in mid-September. It’s now scheduled to take place in 2025 as TL Americas and Air Cargo Americas from 11-13 November at the same location as the Tiaca ACF 2024 in Miami Beach.
Will it work? So soon after its own Air Cargo Southeast Asia air and before Logitrans? And especially before the new ACF, which Tiaca has announced in Abu Dhabi for the first time (4-6 November)?
We shall see – in Miami Beach, for now.
See you there,
Andreas Haug
