The three Maghreb states of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia between form a region that is larger than Argentina and has more inhabitants than Germany.
It thus goes without saying that the Maghreb needs a high-performance logistics industry. Our Special in this issue shine a light, amongst other things, on Royal Air Maroc, currently soaring high; growth in Tunisian ports; and the future of Tandem Logistics, a company doing business across the entire region.
The logistics world on the ITJ’s own doorstep here in Basel is also in a great state of flux. Editor-in-chief Christian Doepgen held discussions with Michael Bubendorf and Hannes Caj, the two key players directly involved in the management buy-out of Ozean Brokerage & Shipping. The resulting interview gives background insights into a process that by no means can be described as everyday.
