Qantas announces changes at the helm
The Qantas Group is reorganising its group management committee. Andrew David, CEO of Qantas domestic and international, will retire in September 2023.
The role of CEO of Qantas domestic and international (which was combined during Covid), will be again split into two separate portfolios from 1 July 2023. This will provide the management bandwidth required as each business welcomes new aircraft and expands its network.
Cameron Wallace, who has more than two decades of aviation experience in the Asia Pacific region, will join the group as CEO of Qantas international and freight from 1 July 2023.
David will remain as CEO of Qantas domestic until his retirement. A recruitment process to fill this role will start soon. The rest of the group management committee remains unchanged. (cj)
