A promotion for Xavier Avrard
Transport and logistics services provider Geodis has appointed Xavier Avrard as chief strategy officer. He will join the group’s management board, which is chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of Geodis.
Avrard came to Geodis in 2014 as group controller, was then appoin ted managing director for projects logistics, initially for Africa and later for the WEMEA region. In 2019,he was named senior vice president of the Odyssey programme, focusing on launching and managing the group’s digital transformation programme.
In January 2023, Avrard took over the strategic development of the Europe region, particularly the integration of Trans-o-flex, a company recently acquired by Geodis. He has been leading the newly created group strategy department since 1 July 2023. (cj)
